Aec'Letec made Ankhegs look difficult...

>>Lemme see.. I searched the forums for Aec'Letec, and came across a strategy that Melusine had posted. Drink tons of potions, and cast tons of Protection spells. Well, I did that. All 5 of my characters had a sip of some Oil of Speed, Kivan and Ajantis took in some Storm Giant Strength potions, Ajantis casted Protection from Evil on himself about 4 times, and Braywen cast Protection from Evil 10' Radius. I had Xan cast Mirror Image and Invisibility on himself also. I equiped Kivan and my Thief with some Arrows of Biting, Flame, and Frost. When I went down to face the Aec'Letec I cast both slots of Animate Dead, and Xan shot his Flame arrow and Ice arrow spells. Around that time I went into Xan's inventory to equip him with a Wand of Frost, but suddenly a scrolling-text screen came up. Something about completing all 3 quests included within the TotSC expansion. I couldn't believe it! I had defeated the demon in a matter of minutes, and barely got a chance to use everything I had! I was disappointed at this time, as I thought this would have been the "hardest battle"...

i beat him with nothing but haste and magic missle. My party was me(ranger) minsc, jaheira, branwen, imoen, dynaheir. I had minsc attack the monk directly in front when you come doen the stairs, as soon as he kilied him, he went immediately to Aec'Letec to keep him busy and stop him from casting the death gaze. I just went around the room killing the rest of the monks and when i finished them all off i sent minsc into the corner and finished him off. Everyone i had was on level 9, and dynaheir's magic missle is brutal at that level. I heard from a lot of people how tough this fight was, but i had much more trouble with the warders(pride is a dick!) of course i still have never fought sarevok because the game glitched on me!
