Xbox live -- is it the same as live for 360?
A friend asked me, and I dunno--He has a yearly thing with the old XBOX live.. If he got a 360, is that yearly 'live' for just the old xbox, or is it considered 'gold' membership for 360 and work for it too?
Any ideas? Sounds confusing as hell. |

The service is the same for the original and the current machine...and while it was a pay service, was also the subscription to Windows Live.
The last one is no longer a pay-service, and as such, any game that depended upon it for internet multiplayer is now free to play on any level of Live membership, though this only matters with Shadowrun, as that allows PC players to play alongside console players. That game is free to play with the "Silver" account. Which, is more info than you asked for...but I got carried away.

I would like to insert my own question as long as your talking about 360 live, if i may.
I've downloaded every map-pack for halo 3, and when i go to matchmaking, it will just sit there. It was said that there were 93 games found, but no possible mathces? Is it something to do with my 360? Im getting furious because i spent so much time downloading the maps and now the damn thing doesnt work. Or is it just my internet?
