Hi everyone. I just started TOSC, and am not sure which quest to do first.
I tried going to Durlags Tower, but my party got beat up by a Battle Horror. I'm thinking this is the wrong way to start off here. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. |

I would do first Shandalars quest, its not very long.
Then i would go to durlags, cause you´ll get lotsa xp and items there And last i would do the island quest. You could switch the order of durlag and the island, but i think that shandalar´s should be the first. ------------------ You up ?? Beware !! When falling, better fall from down |

Not saying my way is the right one, because there is no right way, I did the Ice Island, then the other Island, and last was the Durlag Tower, because of its size of completion, and difficulty level...I did do the upper tower before the 2nd island quest, though.

Kim,
It really helps if you have done just about every quest in BG, too. Anything to build up. I have just reached the exp cap of 161,000 on almost everyone in my party, and Durlag's Tower is still killing me. LOL. I did Shandalar's Quest first, and then went to Durlag's on my own, and did the outside area and upper levels. Went back to Ulgoth's Sideburns ::nods to Ertai for swiping his old name for the area:: and did the Balduran Quest. Then went on the tour back to Durlag's and did the first lower level. It was a killer. I spent several days trying to get those darned dwarven guardians. Then back to BG City and did the rest of my quests from the sewers and then once again, back to the Tower. It was still hard, but lots of fun. Building up to finish Durlag's Tower was really worth it. Those beasties and puzzlea are real challenges. I think I would say that the final battle in BG City was almost anti-climactic compared to the Tower. V***V |
