I guess we define cheese and cheating differently. I consider anything that does not require a third-party program or the modification of the game code( like the line needed for the CLUA Console to work) as non-cheating. Dubious but legitimate gameplaying, I consider as cheese.

Will we ever agree on something?

Just kidding, of course...
(Civilized) Disagreement means debating, and that why we're here after all, right?

We agree that Sorcerers rock the house, BG2 is a great game, that both of us are definitely male, blah, blah, blah, yakkity-yak, oh look, I think I am getting side-tracked.

Debating can be a fun exercise when done properly, and it does open up new insights into how you see a particular scenerio.

My first ever game (BG 1) i created a mage with 10 in all stats. He was killed by one of those assasins in Candlekeep I have now finished BGII 7 times, 2 mages, 1 fighter/mage, 3 sorcerers and 1 avenger. About half of those were solo. Have also abandoned about 50-ish other characters/groups (Irenicus' dungeon is really starting to bug me! Bah, the slayer is over-rated, it is much easier to just fire-ball everything into oblivion (or you could use a good spell ). You want to lower your reputation? Just go fireball the center of trademeet! Alternatively, to stop them complaining, just throw them out of the group.

lol, sorry, i still think the slayer is over-rated though, i can kill things much faster with my mage than i can when he is the slayer. If you only want to lower your reputation a little bit, and you wont use shadow keeper, you could always go to that little room behind the (not-so) secret door in the Copper coronet. Make sure no-one is in view, and kill them. Evil, but it will lower your reputation. It also wont have everyone in the area trying to kill you. Other than stealing, killing people or turning into the slayer, i dont know any other ways to lower your reputation (possibly lose some rep points for completing quests evily)
