OOC>>>Tee-hee...
Murdock "I...I have no idea. Careful now...this could be a set-up for devious trickery." The two approach the house, close enough to speak with the guy in the window. He smiled and said, "Could you two help me with something? You see...I wanna get outta this house, but me mum has me locked in my room, and the height is too great for me to risk climbing out. I will pay you to help me! Please? My girlfriend is waiting on me. Mum don't like her. But that is beside the point now, isn't it? Will you help me?" |

~The boy cries out in fright, turning around and drawing a rusty dagger shakily from his belt.~ "Stay back! Stay back!" ~He tries to hide the bread behind his back.~ "I've got no business with you!" ~He swallowed, bare feet slowly treading backward.~ Murdock (ooc: After the barkeep's son and mother locking Romeo in his room, I think you've turned Rhykatam into the city of hopeless romantics. ![]() ~Mia gave you a bemused grin, then turned to the man in the window.~ "Why would your mother lock you up over a girl? Did she do something wrong?" "No!" ~He cried out.~ "My mum's just a bat outta hell. Please help me!" ~She looked at you.~ "Well I don't see why not... Except that a place like that has likely got guards." ~She shrugged.~ "I guess it's up to you Erran, though I've got some doubts about this. You up for a bit of a risk?" ~He yelled out desperately.~ "Yes he is, yes he is! He's perfectly up for a risk, now aren't you?!" ~He pointed accusingly at you.~ "You aren't going to let her boss you around are you? Who's wearing the pants in this relationship?!" He should talk about pants! He's so eager to get his off the least he can do is be decent to his saviors! ~Mia glared upward, turned to you then gestured for you to follow, drawing a sleek elven made scimitar. The thing looked deadly, intricate patterns of thorns and leaves all along the blade.~ "Come on Erran. We're going up there to teach that bastard a few manners." ~She growled, starting to storm through the guardless halls. You chuckled, that innocent little mouth spewing angry profanity was rather humorous.~ |

Murdock
"Hey! We could use the money. What's it to us if his hormones are killing him? Yet, I have a plan...just watch..." Murdock looked up at the guy and said... "You know...I don't like how you just spoke to my lady-friend here. It was uncalled for, and I am going to have to teach you a lesson in manners now. The price will be 100 gold...each. You will pay this by dropping the money in two pouches from your window within 10 minutes, or I am going to knock on your front door, and tell you mum that I saw a boy climbing into the window on the second level and that my friend here saw a girl running down the alley-way. What will it be, boy?" The youngster look terrified for a moment, then with a quick resolve, ran out of sight from the window. In less than a minute, he had dropped two pouches of heavy contents onto the ground outside. Smiling and looking up, Murdock replied..."I hope you have saved enough to pay her!" This enfuriorated the boy, but he simply said through gritted teeth that he would like down now. Murdock removed an ebony rope from his back-back and threw it into the tree to loop around the branch nearest the window. He then held the one end on the ground and instructed the boy to grab onto the other end. He did so, and when he had jumped from the window, Murdock lowered him to the ground. The kid didn't waste any time, but ran as fast as he could towards his objective. Murdock walked over, picked up the gold and counted it. The poor dumb kid had given him two gold too many in one of the pouches. He placed one in the other pouch and handed it to Mia. "Ready to go?" |

quote: *Throwing back my hood, I smile at the boy* ~hey there guy, I'm not going to hurt you. As a matter of fact, here. *reaching into my pocket I flip a silver penny to the young boy* ~Now put that knife away and lets talk. Where are you from? Where are your parents? It's not safe to be taking what isn't yours in a place like this.~

Murdock
~She nodded, fastening the pouch at her waist.~ "Yes." ~She resheathed her sword.~ "Pity we couldn't cut the rope before he got to the ground though." ~The two of you returned to aimlessly walking.~ Crickets chirped in the tepid night, and Rhykatam seemed comparibly quiet. You and Mia chatted idly for a time over nothing in particular. You hear a rustling in the long grass, and the elf's curious nature gets the better of her. ~Her head turned to the side.~ "What was that?" ~The grass on the edge of the river was nearly tall enough to lose Mia in. The faint rustling intrigued her. Mia crept silently on the soft earth, quieter than the most cautious thieving footfalls. She brushed aside part of the green wall, peering curiously about.~ "Hmmm." ~She turned back to you and shrugged.~ "Must have been the wind." ~You were about to agree when a sickening undead hand fell onto Mia's shoulder. She shrieked.~ "Aiii!" ~Quickly she pulled out her sword, slashing off the offending limb. She backed up, towards you, but the shriveled walking corpse, as well as some of his zombie friends, were hobbling toward you.~ |

~He quickly stuffed the silver into the pocket of his dirty tunic, running a hand over his jaggedly cut brown hair as he put the blade away.~ "I ain't got nothin! Ain't hurtin' nobody! I gotta get back! Just leave me alone! Just leave me alone!" ~He started running down the street again.~ [ 02-26-2002: Message edited by: Killing Spree ] |

OOC>>>I love your subtle hints...
![]() Murdock "Murdock was momentarily stunned, watching helplessly as dead people were roaming around all the sudden, trying to lay their rotting hands on Mithia. He saw her swat at the first one, and knock it back, but now there were quite a few of them all lunging for her sweet flesh. The streets were quiet and void of any passerby, thus they were left all alone to fend of this attack. Hearing Mia's scream of repulse and fear, Murdock came back to his senses and leaped forward, drawing his blade Zahara as he went. The closest dead thing to Mia was the first to feel Zahara's kiss. Murdock leaped in on it and sliced through its neck, severing it from the body. As he sliced, Murdock took in his next opponent. This one was heading his way, and Murdock spun his sword in a blinding fast arc around to catch it in the face. The dead creature did not care that it now had a slash across its face and lunged in, yet not being able to see very well now that it had half a head. Murdock punched with his free hand, brought his blade around and poked the other eye out, and kicked it to the ground. It lay there, feeling around for anything to grab onto. What it grabbed was another undead, though it had no way of knowing that. The two dead friends fought and bit at each other, forgetting the human and the elf. Murdock turned to see Mia taking care of herself, obviously being very skilled with that nice scimitar of her's. He ran to face his next opponent. All the while he was wondering..."[i]What does this have to do with her brother's knowledge of this city and any harper business around here?" [ 02-27-2002: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ] |

OOC>>>Spree...FYI...I think I found some of the websites that you use for your elven languages! Now, I can tanslate into elven, but how would I reverse it back to English? And since there are at least a dozen different languages, would I have to guess at whether you were speaking ancient or modern, etc...?
