Well, Spree, I've never particularly enjoyed my share of romantic Valentines' Day's (3 times out of 25 years isn't a lot, anyway). I celebrate it as Friendship Day, and I still have fond memories of a particular year

The tension of trying to keep up appearances almost tears her apart, her mind still reciting the intoxicating poetry his lips have uttered ~ Silas... ~ The feel of his arms still tingling on her burning skin, she hears the endless echoes shouting illogically his name ~ Silas... Silas... Silas... ~ Heart soaring on wings of flight, she staggers on her knees, quite weak from delight.

Then realises Brier's presence. She blinks and locks away the memories for later regurgitation ~ "So..." ~ Remembering to grimace and follow up from the earlier stumble ~ "... I suppose you've done what you wished, Brier." ~ Stammering ~ "W... what are your plans now?" ~ Please, say you want to stay...

Giving the stick over to Zahara to start munching on the goodies, Murdock said, "I can follow you anywhere! I am anxious to prove my worth as an able bodied thief and I shant let anything impede my goals. Never have before, so why start now? So, what're we gonna do once we get there?"

~Brier replied.~ "Visiting the graveyard helped me fill in a little hole in my heart... But..." ~She shrugged.~ "I really think I belong here Mistral. My mother and... And Asher are dead, but I have a sense of security here that I can't find anywhere else." ~She smiled tearily.~ "I feel as if they're watching over me." ~She sighed.~ "I know it would make no sense to you, and I don't expect you to stay, though I'm posotive you'd be welcome to." ~She shakes her head wearily.~ "I'm sorry I've been leaving you so much today, but I hope you might ponder what I've said and consider staying a while." ~She looked to the setting sun.~ "I think I will go visit the shrine. Excuse me." ~She distantly walked away.~

~Your heart leaped for joy at the aspect of staying in the Eerie... With Silas. But your mind was wary as you watched the stars come out. You noticed how incredibly dark the night was. It was a new moon. When the sun and moon die I will find you. Was that not what Silas had said? Perhaps this is what he meant?~

~She reached for her pack.~ "Even if you follow me to the gates of hell it'll still take us the remainder of the day to get there. It's really just a turning point, though I might have a final destination in mind." ~She gestured for you to follow.~ "Finish your rat and get ready."

~You wait patiently until soft footsteps are heard from behind. A familiar hand falls onto your shoulder and the match offers a small bouquet of elegant amethyst flowers with silken petals.~ "Tteckas for m'lady." ~It was Silas, tousled mane and wild green eyes glimmering in the starlight. He gave you an honest grin as he took a seat next to you.~ "Forgive my absence... But the ttecka are rather hard to find this season and I could not settle for anything less." ~He gave you a concerned glance, unfastening his cloak and draping it over your shoulders.~ "Do you like the flowers little shivering one? I could go out and search for more if it would please you. Certainly no bloom could compare in the slightest to you, if you don't mind me saying so." ~He grinned sheepishly.~ "I fear I rave."

Grasping the spray of exotic flowers with her right hand, her eyes glitter ~ "I've never received any presents, Silas." ~ Choking on her words, she swallows the lump in her throat ~ "They're lovely." ~ They spend the next minutes strolling in companionable silence, drinking in the moonlight and the sweet fragrance of Lady Night.

At length, she turns to face Silas, glad of the velvety darkness that obscures her scarlett cheeks. ~ "I... I'm so glad that I came to this place." ~ Her soft voice filled with rapturous wonder ~ "If I hadn't, I wouldn't have met you." ~ Her heart now galloping at lightning speed.

They set out on the open road, side by side, chatting about the various idle things that came to their minds.

Thunder rolled in the distance and Zahara groaned.~ "Of course! Rain!" ~She squinted up at the sky then turned to you hastily.~ "Think you can run the rest of the way? I can't see it being more than two miles away now, and if we hurry we don't have to look like the drowned version of our breakfast." ~She held up a peaceful hand.~ "No offense to your culinary skills of course."
