1 point in Dart proficiency is not exactly going to kill you.

Archers cannot Grandmaster in Darts anyway, or I would made a Dartmaster a long time ago. Sane Solo Archers will still need to Grandmaster in Shortbows/Longbows/Crossbows.

Oh. Well, IMO, I'd go for Axe proficiency first, then maybe one more in Two-Weapon Fighting for Fulcrum, then maybe a couple in Crossbows for the Demogorgon/Demilich. I could put in a point in Dart somewhere along the line, but... I still like the idea of using Improved Kitthix (something you can get very early) to Tank, while I butcher the enemy. Works best for me.

Hmmmm... my weapon proficiencies looks something like this.

Assuming solo

Level 7: 3* in Longbows, 2* in Shortbows, 1* in Darts

Level 9: 1* in Warhammer( to handle Clay Golems and to use Crom Faeyr later on to bash locks besides instant-killing certain enemy types)

Level 12: 1* in Axes( to use Azuredge)

Level 15: 4* in Longbows

Level 18: 5* in Longbows

Level 21: 3* in Shortbows

Level 24: 4* in Shortbows

Level 27: 5* in Shortbows

Level 30: 1* in Quarterstaffs( to use that +6 ToB one)

Level 33: Whatever tickles my fancy

ADD] Oh, and I do not have the luxury of using Improved Kitthix, because I banned myself from using such an abomination. The Efreeti from the Genie Bottle and vanilla Kitthix are my usual early summons. Air Elemental from the Staff of Air is next, then things really picks up when I get the Moondog( Immunity to Normal Weapons, PfEvil for me and it, Mirror Image, yadda, yadda, yadda...).

It doesn't matter whether or not you use Improved Kitthix. The original is still cannon fodder. BTW, how do you get the Efreeti Bottle if you're solo'ing? Don't you have to pickpocket for it?
