The Ferryman

The green-robed one grins, "Of course I know of such a place! It might look a bit unpleasant at first, but that's just to hide it from people. Jump aboard, I'll sail you there for free this time....."

"Great, thanks" Dantes says enthusiastically. "The first round is one me" Dantes states pullsing down his hood, a smile splitting his face from ear to ear.

SecretMaster- "Ah, everyone has sent there taxes, excellent. Now with the tax money, and our bonus money, we can truly shape our city." SecretMaster says with a smile. He gets to work, going to the construction HQ, and starts asking engineers and architechts to make the lake protection.

SIR TYREE (to Sefa) (Looks surprizedly at Sefa, but sees that she is pale and trembling.) "Certainly, my dear, let us go back to the castle. There's wine there, also, and I would not have my little rabbit frightened." (He rises and takes her arm, they leave)

passes Sir Tyree and Sefa as they exits. he goes up to the bar and orders an ale.

SEFA)(Takes Tyree's arm and looks adoringly into his face. She has found an erotic manuscript of Veldrin's and has several new things that she wants to try out back at the castle.)

The Ferryman

The Ferryman smiles evilly under his hood as they pass through the Abyss, this time a part which has randomly morphed into a wonderful green meadow. He points to the five fair maidens which stand gathered under a tree farther inside the meadow and says to Dantes, "Why look Dantes, there are the women you wanted." Then shoves the man off of the raft and onto the meadow, "I've got to go, got an adventuring party to ferry from Mt. Celestia to Mechanus." He sails off at high speed.

(OOC: Those "fair maidens" are actually succubi. Have "fun" with them and your fate is sealed.... )

The Baatezu

Sensing no great evil within the tavern which they could turn to their own use and longing for a sense of military order and law the five demons left Ulrik's tavernm, paying first of course. And headed off to Tyree's castle to seek employment as defenders.

[Cerek the Barbaric]

Zachary follows the mayor over to construction HQ.

"Pardon me, mayor, but I never got an answer to my question in the town meeting. Specifically, do you have a building or former temple that is no longer in use that I may use to establish my Temple to Odin, the All-Father. If you are going to have demons living in - as well as attacking - the city, then I fear my services will be needed rather quickly."
"I have a fair amount of gold from my travels, but I would appreciate any help the city could provide in renovation or construction of the temple. In exchange, I will provide my services to all the citizens of Waterdale free of charge. Donations will be greatly appreciated, but not required."
"So, is there a place where I may "set up shop", so to speak?"

Caladar sat on the roof of the inn, muttering to himself. His plan to grab a few coinpurses at the town meeting had been thwarted by the arrival of demons at the gate ~ of all the rotten luck ~ Then, not only do the town guard NOT fight the demons, but practically invite them in for a drink of ale. ~ what kind of town invites demons in for a mug of ale? ~

It appeared another oppurtunity had presented itself with the arrival of yet more demons at the gates. This time there WAS a fight, but it was far too short to allow him time to properly scout the defenses of that big fortress at the end of town. Caladar was quite sure it would be worth his time to take a look inside there eventually. There was also that black tower that had seemed to just rise out of the ground right outside the city walls. [i]~ fie, too much magic to muck around with there. like as not I would be turned into a toad or some other hideous aberration ~[i] Caladar sighed deeply. His plans to accumulate a large amount of gold quickly had been sidetracked, and the prospects looked pretty bleak. The places that might offer the type of reward he sought were simply too well guarded. Plus, the town was not nearly as well populated as he would've hoped. It would be very difficult for him to go un-noticed for very long.

Ah well...it appears to be time to move on to the next town. Farewell Waterdale, perhaps I will come visit you again sometime."

OOC> I'm taking Caladar out of the picture for a number of reasons. First, it isn't really fair for me to be "running" two characters in one thread. Second, from a roleplaying standpoint, it would be very difficult for him to go around filching purses without being noticed fairly quickly here. Finally, there is another thread open that is primarily for thieve's. He may go there or he may just "lurk" around for awhile.

Anyway, Zachary is here to stay and will begin working on the temple with all due haste.

Illsha catches his breath back and looks around the tavern, it seems that no one saw him fall off the stool and wind himself. He slowly sits back down on the bar stool has another drink and falls asleep leaning on the bar.
