Actually having ENT encounter them was just wrapping up a loose end from the movie First Contact, and setting the events that would create that movie into motion (the borg getting the coordinates for Earth)

I agree that having the borg meet the ENT crew is making them have to rewright the whole history of star treck. "First Contact" was based on the borg having time travel capabilities and discovering the location of earth and trying to ensure that the first contact with the vulcans never occured therefore causing the war with the borg to go differently and causing earth to be assimilated prior to the war starting. this new twist causes a major change in ST history and makes the movies obsolite, because the war would have been fullyn involved or completed by the time the war with the Klingon empire started in the first movie. if this were true then all the other series are out of time line too.

They've messed up the Enterprise timeline so often (every major plot being deeply rooted in time travelling), that I wouldn't be surprised if they are going to introduce a giant reset button in its final episode.

It's also well known that the creators aren't fond of tOS, and that ENT is their attempt to write Kirk out of continuity.

That is EXACTLY what I think they will do. The need to hire the Deep Space Nine writers. But they just don't have much to work with IMO. The Xindi Arc was better than the other seasons, but I dunno. DS9 is the only series I am buying on DVD--and I only own 1 season because it's freaking $109 a season. (I got it for Christmas! If you wait a couple years, it should go down in price.

DS9, even now that I don't like Star Trek, is something I could still watch. Enterprise ruined my Star Trek fanatacism.

What, you mean like history up until the point where they set off is gone?

The only thing that is really really good about ENT is the theme song. *duck and hide*

And the ship itself! After that it drops off a cliff of doom. I don't know who is writing those scripts, but they need to fire them or something...

Theme song is ga..dumb.... IMO!

Also, the ship? lol, that is based SO much on the Akira class ship from DS9/First Contact. It's a cool shape--catamaran style.

BTW, I made loads of 3D trek Ships a few years ago--my site is even a 'Hot' site in the Trekkers guide to the Internet and they have a screenshot of this page:
