Oh...one other tip...

to cast a spell on a character, press the CTRL key on the keyboard as you left-click their portrait.

I'd also be casting "Bless" each time I ventured forth, if I were you. It REALLY helps with your fighting and resisting odds. Cast it on one character, and all characters get the benefit at once. There's several "group effect" spells like that in the game.

I've got a GS Examiner coming up that you should get a kick out of! (It's our online tabloid "gossip" magazine about the Strange and Unusual in the Gael Serran).

Cheers, and good luck! Hope W&W is getting a bit easier for ya! Gotta get you used to these 1st person games so you'll be able to play Wizardry 8 and Morrowind when they come out!

Hugs,
Sazerac

Oh Saz! I should have guessed! Ulterior motives! You game pusher, you! HAHAHAHA... oh, I may be convinced to try new ones...but uh,wait til I at least give that no account bone lord a good wholloping first! I have a score to settle with him! teehee

I suppose I should go to Wizardry to find out about it? and Morrowind?

Oh and I do love this forum! Say, um, is there a ban on using sigs here? I've noticed some do and many don't....

THEY YELLED AT ME, CLOUDY !

Naw, just kidding... It's the whole "makes the page load slow" thing. We like to post the sig the first time you post in a thread, then skip it the rest of the time...
Smileys are cool , though... I hope

*I forget and include my sig, usually. That's why I edit so much over here*

Cloudy: If your cleric doesn't have Bless, you can purchase it in the Temple Guild. Look to buy spellbooks when you have extra cash.

Hey, honey, make sure you are up close and personal with the bad guys to do melee combat. You won't be able to hit 'em with your sword if you are out of arm's reach...and do you understand how to toggle back and forth between the magic and melee, not to mention between spell options and weapon options? That is your mission, should you choose to accept ...

BK!

Har! I quickly learned I was too far away and using these rather er,unfamiliar and decidedly awkward means of maneuvering my characters I kept ending up close enough to be real good friends with my enemies, if you get my drift! I'd end up seeing a bony elbow in my face and realize I must be dancing the tango with that skeleton I'd meant to hack to bits with my sword!

Meanwhile, I can't see anything else and my other characters are being slaughtered! sigh....I have the slow setting on now (turnbased) but we'll see how it goes! And those bats are really annoying!

Best way to take out the bats is the Flamedrop spell - target one at the centre of the group, and you will take out two or three at a time.

Cheers

feh... bats are just pests... just get up close to one and either shock or zap 'em!

as for 'Lure' just use your 'come hither' look...
