Pritchke, did you get the Skull of Alchemy and the Anvil of Horath? (Should have be now, but if not it's no big deal to go back and get them.) Once Crucibus is added to the Hex the ring appears in the alchemy lab. I always check an items status before making use of it. If it's ruined I wait til I can repair it. Were you able to figure out how to defeat Gargo or what ever his name was, in the Barrow of Horrath, without the walkthrough? Took me a couple tries, but only because I set the trap in the back to fire instead of ice.

Yes, we are about the same area, I explored all my Hex except the Alchemy Lab because when I approach, the alchemist stops me and gives me a potion. Yes, Gargo was a pain, for some reason the Red heals so I was fighting him standing on the red because it healed me. I was only getting like 3 or 4 points off him every so often and it was taking forever. There had to be a easier way so I switched the pillars to ice and took advantage of the semi-poor AI. Even then it took a few reloads because I had the tendency to step on the circle. Is that how you killed him? I could see no other way to do it. Did you search all the Barrows there are 3 runes to be found in them. Other than that we seem to be at the same place went to Shadowdale and completed a couple quest there, and you decided to explore the ruins first. I am level 12 so you are probably about the same. How are your states distributed? I think I have 20 strength (although if I knew about the ring it would be less), 18 dex, 13 combat, 15 health (20 with ring of health), 48 magic. This is approximate but it should be close to what it is. Magic as been important to me as I can't seem to get enough. I have been using fireballs as my main source of offence, boulders are cool but they never seem to do damage. If I could change some now I would take like at least 5 pointas of strength and move them to the others.

A couple more control tips:

Journal: After you have so many quest you can scroll through then by using the half moons in the upper right and lower left of the journal page.
Hex Map: To move the map and see all your Hex locations left click with the mouse, hold the button and move the mouse to move the map.

Phew!!! My last post on this game as I finally finished it.

The ending was well worth it. Kind of reminds me of the BGII ending
in how they do a profile on many of the main characters in the game. But that is all I am going to say without giving up major spoilers.
