the cloak of mirrors... i think that's the one, but when i figured out it reflects beholder rays i could actually survive those beholder dungeons. so i said before crom fayer, i'll add cloak of mirrors, and i just got the ring of gaxx... these 3 are the best items in the game....

My favourite items are the ring of gaxx, carsomyr, and boots of speed. The cloack of mirroring is also great, but i regard it unbalancing: its very sad seeing the behoders killing themselves.

Can anyone tell me what does the robe of vecna?

The robe of vecna reduces spell casting speed by 4.

IMHO the best item would have to be ring of free action. This makes you immune to Mind Flayer paralysis abilities, which I think is invaluble as I consider MF the toughest opponents.

where can you get the robe of vecna? i've been hearing bout it lots lately

my favorite item is the blackrazor...sorta like the black blade of death, but for the warrior!

You get the Robe of Vecna from one of the bonus merchants.

Gauntlets of Dex(solves the problem of paladins having low dex scores)
Carsomyr(This weapon just reeks with awesomeness), Daystar

other items-Ring of Gaxx and the Upgraded horn of Vahalla

Edit-Forgot to add the Robe of Vecna as the best mage armor

leather armour

staff

cloak of non-detection

ankheg armour

dagger

especially against adamanite golems, having ineffective weapons and a rather useless cloak are some of the best ways to die
