my new party had a fun experience at the umpani base camp this weekend. 21 enemies were waiting as we went outside, including a sige, a half dozen modai, 2 greater seekers, 5 poison seekers, and 7 assorted plants.

together with those very helpful 25 or so umpani guards meant that, even with the winfast utility, i had to go away and do things as each round ran.

but, the nice guards who got poisoned by the plants and seekers died and left me a sword of hearts for my trouble. so we called it even

I posted this in the "boss" thread before realizing there was already a thread for it..my bad

I hate Deathsting Apuses which I meet mostly at Marten's Bluff. They come in groups of 6 or 7, each one attacks 800 times per turn, and they can kill you outright in one shot.

although i hate juggernauts and plants the most, as stated above, the most annoying area in the game has to be the swamp. millipedes, viper frogs, all those annoying mares, and rynjin... maybe not the worst individual encounters in the game, but probably the most annoying string of them!

Question Mark

Some people enjoy the Swamp, I am not one of them. It's a too dangerous an area to practice leveling up, IMO. (Of course, going for Mauligators and such has a certain charm). I can see how some like the challenge, you don't want to be bored. Might as well go for the Cemetary at night while your at it. Your call. This is one reason this game endures. There are many other reasons, like party make ups. It's 2 years old, but I still like some games that are 10 years old. Maybe ranting here, I just like the game.

The most annoying monster that comes to mind is the wasp.

I'd have to go for juggernauts, very difficult to kill early in the game, and you don't get all that much XP for the amount of time and effort that goes into killing them.

Definately the plants. They are SO annoying! I always do my best to avoid them now if I can.

My favorite is MYLES.
I know I could let him die but I cant, Im too friendly. But in a fight with some Slashers its really hard to save him.
Same with Ferro. He always falls asleep while fighting and then you must heal him and wake him up.

Well if you are strong enough, there is no enemy who could really kill you but I hate monsters that need 10 min for one round like damn rapax.

I like the room in rapax castle where you have to go up the stairs to the templars. I often encounter 20-30 rapax of varying professions here, before I've had a chance to talk to ferro and equip. It can be a difficult battle.
