This is a rather biased poll. Most people have not seen, nor care to see, all the wonderful pictures that have been made a: before Color and b: before sound.
I am a fan of the silent films. My favorite silent screen actor is Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. I also like many, many black and white movies including A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Campy by today's standards. In the color era there are far too many to list, but I still like to watch the first Indiana Jones movie. The second was a major let down, but the third was real good too. I also like many of Sean Connery's films. In particular The Man Who Would Be King featuring Michael Caine. Broken down into categories would also bring to mind far too many films to mention. But really all you will see listed are films that are fresh in people's minds and genres that they will normally gyrate too. Does anyone find Gone With The Wind a great classic? The one thing I think we can all agree on is the worst movies ever made. Movies like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes or Night of the Lepus (a movie about killer rabbits which they are planning on doing a remake of).

I'm not a fan of old movies (though I did watch and somewhat enjoyed Wuthering Heights.)
My 'favorite' movie is 3000 miles to Graceland, and anything by Quentin Tarantino. The beginning casino scene and ending in 3KMTG is very stylish and includes some of the best gunplay I've ever seen. It's too bad the soundtrack was ruined with so many songs from the crap band korn. My second favorite is Living in Oblivion. Too tough to describe. |

I liked Gosford Park recently - dont know if it's my all time favourite, but it made me think and grabbed my interest and I *cared* about the characters. Liked LoTR too, but I'm never wholly keen on adaptions from novels

Just for the record, khazadman, I have never seen Gone With The Wind. As for Wonderful Life, after seeing it 10 times, I am quite sick of it myself.
