Don't dismiss Weapon Master builds.

It is possible to get a higher AB with Weapon Master than RDD.

Go with piercing weapons and keep a hammer or mace in reserve for the undead who are immune to critical hits.

And you can get the ability to use shields. Vital against some of of Z's creations.

Nope, I won't, but Melt will have to suffice...I'll miss out on the WM stuff, but not much, I think. Overall, hitting is good, and the way high str will definitely be a bonus to dmg rolls. With the Keen on the scimmy, and improved crit, he'll still be hitting critically at 12(?) I think, and by the time he gets to 13, the proving grounds should be no problem. He should end up with pretty good fort saves too, since I'll add to con once str is all the way maxed out.

As to the dex builds, yeah, I've become a master at those, my Ranger 10, SD 30 did the proving grounds last night, and while there was a lot of cheese, she was only hit like 4 times in melee, all the way around the area. 72 ac, with epic dodge and SC V...

Melt!

There was a post about the best scimitars in the game at one time.

I thought the Desert Dustmaker was best at the time but I was wrong.

I have a WM dual wielding Melt and it works well.

The only problem with Melt is low damage due to lack of enhancement bonuses. However, that's not such a bad thing, when you hit a lot. I may sacrifice a couple of ab points to increase my damage with the Dust maker, the old school version, anyway.
