those are used in many spam emails to bypass spam filters. many times they are put in very small font and in colour same as background so as not to be seen by the reader.

Thought it might be something like that, as all the words mispelt in the top were ones likely to be filtered out if spelt right, didn't work, they still ended up in the spam box. Still, I found them quite funny.

Open up a dummy bank account with no money in it.

Screw around with the guy via e-mails for a couple of weeks making out like your unsure, then just as he's about to go somewhere else, give him the empty bank account information. After about 2 weeks, close it down.

Zebodog, that's exactly what you shouldn't do, they bounce some illicit money into the account, probably stolen electronicaly from someone elses account, and withdraw it from the account, if it's a lot of money they'll charge to the account for something expensive that they own, or they get it dropped to a mailbox where they can pick it up.

what's this all mean?

If you give them any account details your gonna get nailed for whatever crimes they commit using that account. You gave them access to it, after just one email, an email promissing illicit gains for you.

It doesn't look good, it's not a good defence in court, hell it's no defence.

I guess I'm not up on the illicit behaviour of internet criminals.

Thanks for the heads up, because that's exactly what I would have done.

Maybe I should just tell them to go F**k themselves?

His motive is not clear, and would be argued he was in it for fraudulet monetary gain.

It's like giving someone a gun to commit a bank job with, and that person commiting murder with the gun. You knew they where upto no good and helped anyway.

Best to ignore it.

Well no, the best would be to report it to the proper authoritys so they know what's going around.

I always thought that those scams were just out to empty your bank account. I didn't realize they were other reasons for said actions.
