Yep. They look like Eredar, but are called Draeni. Either way, they do look pretty cool. I'll be rolling one of each when the expansion comes out.

Well, I was wrong. They look pretty cool.

We'll see what they do to the faction balance come December.

It has to be Draeni. Like I said before, Eredar and part of the burning legion.

Edit***

Its now officially the Draenei

Well with the new background stories for each race, they have certainly made it believeable that they would be playable races, but they are yet to explain why the Drenai would join the alliance...

EDIT: Ok, maybe they did...
Quote:
The Draenei visited many worlds in their travels and explored much of the known cosmos on their quest to find safe harbor. During this exodus they befriended the enigmatic Naaru -- a race of beings with a deep affinity for the Holy Light of Creation that empowers the paladins of Azeroth. The Naaru blessed the Draenei with this power in an effort to help them in their struggle. This makes them a natural ally of the Alliance races who embrace this holy power.

In addition, the Draenei hold no affinity for certain Horde races. They outright hate the Orcs, who nearly drove the Draenei to extinction in Outland. And more recently, the Blood Elves stole technology from the Draenei and also sabotaged their dimensional ship, which crash landed on Azeroth.

Man this sucks

As expected, us Horde players get the $itty race that is pretty much already in the game (elves) and the Alliance get the cool looking new race

I actually like this change. the alliance is getting an ugly race that only a few will play, while the horde is getting a k00L race that you can have lots of 12 year olds with names of L3gola$ or l33G0LARS or 1337golas or whatever. This will hopefully salve the wound on the face of the alliance brought by night elves (hey, I'm Dr1zz~t!) and cause the alliance to be less nooby.

Of course, considering that I'm a human, I'm all for the alliance/horde ratio switching around. Judging by the races played by Ironworkers, this may not be a popular viewpoint.
lol you reminded me of this

i really just had to share!

Paladins and hunters...

I saw a pic, a Draenei in Dragonstalker with Hakkari Blades in front of the dark portal..

Then that's a paladin seal IIRC, in the pic fighting the BElf Priest.
