![]() Well, my favourite Metal Bands are Dream Theater, Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Slayer, Stratovarius, In Flames (they really kicked ass on the WOA 2003), Iron Maiden, and Grave Digger. I also like Sonata Arctica, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Rage and EdGuy.

Are you suggesting Iron Maiden was ever good? I would definitely have to strongly disagree with that one.

Well disagree all you want! But Powerslave is a perfect 'running' album! It keeps a great pace that seems to ebb and quicken at just the right moments to keep you going for the whole 45 min.
One of the great things about Maiden was they included alot of historical and literary culture in their music. If you pay attention, you can actually learn something .... ![]()

I love the new albums, as I loved the old ones. Okay, so Dance Of Death (*shudders at the thought of the cover art*) isn't Seventh Son, but there are still some classics in there. Paschendale, for example, is as good as anything Maiden have *ever* written, lyrically or muscially.
BNW was repetitive, yeah, but tracks like Wicker Man and Blood Brothers are still excellent, and you can't detract that from them. If you ignore the terrible era without Bruce, Maiden's later stuff is just as good as a lot of their 80's work, and I stand by that opinion proudly. ![]() And i'm going to see them in December! ![]() ![]() |
