Here is where things get interesting. Conspiracy theorists collectively throw up so many wild thoughts mixed with just enough truth to be possibly believable and then broadcast their findings so loudly that they help to conceal the truth of various situations. That is, conspiracy theorists conspire to obfuscate the truth--the result is my conspiracy theory that "conspiracy theorists are tying to mislead us". There is some evidence that some conspiracy theorists are actually paid governmental agents of misinformation masquerading as real conspiracy theorists....
