Hmmm, all the ebony stuff I've come across is heavy armor. The best medium armor I've come across is Indoril armor which the Ordinators wear. (150 defense) As a result I have to constantly fight them when I see them. It even has a higher rating than Adamantium armor. (Around 140 something) My character is maxed out in medium armor and wear a belt with a +5 to medium armor skill. By the way, there are no Indoril greaves in the game. I've not found Adamantium greaves yet and don't know if there are any. The second best medium armor I've found is Orcish stuff. I wear Orcish greaves as a result.

Actually, Indoril Armor was meant to be Heavy. They changed their mind under construction which resulted in some bugs with the armor type changing from game to game.

By the way - All the ebony stuff you have come across is Heavy, you said. Well, normal ebony armors ARE heavy, but the Ebony Mail actually dont have anything to do with the standard ebony equipment. It is medium and I dont even think its made of Ebony.

Yeah, that's right. Adamantium armor, worn by the high ordinators is heavy armor. Strange thing is, I found this special Adamantium helm in the lower realms of Mournhold which is actually medium armor and the has a higher defense level than the Indoril stuff which is worn by the standard ordinators in Vivec.

those high ordinator aren't wearing adamantium, they are wearing her mejesty armor. so something like that. and it's a heavy armor. probably the third or second best in heavy armor.

No no no! What I meant was: Indoril was ORIGINALLY meant to be Medium, but they changed their minds - Its supposed to be Heavy. There are a bug about that very same thing - Indoril changes from Medium to Heavy or vice versa from time to time.

yes, I notice that bug too, but honestly, did anybody ever use any indoril armor? and why? would you like every ordinator in the game to become berserk and attack you?

My first character DID use Indoril - partial (while it was heavy armor that is). But I never had trouble with the Ordinators, only if I talked to them would they be aggresive. So I just avoided talking to them.

I try to build up a collection of one of each of the various suits of armour. Indoril is the one that i always go back to. I know it's not the best type in the game but it just looks so cool. If i'm going to a place where i know there are ordinators then i simply zip back and grab whtever armour seems the most appropriate for the occasion. It's really easy to roleplay a warrior/cleric type character with an imposing magical robe and an Indoril helm.

Yeah... like the Ordinators at Ald Daedroth wearing robe and mask, looks great. The robe can really perfect your character's look.
