I found Voyager to have the most potential of all Trek and, IMO, failed far too often. Every week it was techno babble peppered with "this week's new alien" encounter. Too many regulars were two-dimensional. This was Berman's and Braga's baby...

As I see it, Enterprise was the best... At least, the best made. Its subject matter was topically fresh, going into philosophical explorations and complex figuratives quite regularly.
Not to mention it had Patrick Stewart, whose performance was always top-notch.

ok, i likd the voyager and the next generation, as well as the original series, that i as an old man grew up watching, but i have yet to see patric stewart in enterprise as it is set about 400 years prior to his characters birth and the setting for tng.. all the series were ok i cannot call anything truely exceptional but the original was years ahead of its time.

I recently just started watching the Startreck: Voyager series... I used to watch Startreck: Enterprise as well.
For all of you out there who aren't much of a Star Treck fanatic... the difference between the two shows is that Enterprise is set 300 or so years or so before Voyager. In the Enterprise series it is the beginning of space travel and meeting new species, also after 6 or so episodes into the seasons humans meet the Cyborgs for the first time. While with Voyager people are still exploring but have made friends with many species and are at constant war with the cyborgs.

OK, to clarify things, Star Trek Enterprise with captain Jonathan Archer, also called ENT, is the newest show, set in 2160, and IMHO the worst. Picard's series is The Next Generation, aka TNG and it was set somewhere around 2360. That one was cool. Before that there was TOS, The Original Series(2250-65) with James Tiberius Kirk in the captains chair, and the two-episode pilot with captain Christopher Pike. VOY is Voyager(2368), who's captain was Kathryn Janeway. DS9 is Deep Space Nine, set cca 2365 and it's captain(in the first few seasons commander) is Benjamin Sisko. It's my favorite show so far.
The thing I hate about ENT is that they keep rewriting history. Like the contack with Borg Lauren mentioned. They made first contact in an episode "Q Who?" in TNG, and then nothing untill the double episode "The Best of Both Worlds" and the battle of Wolf 359 where the Federation's Seventh Fleet was decimated. But, suddenly Archer meets the Borg in eason 3 or 4 and voila, contact. Why was that needed? Some things also don't make sense in ENT, and the whole series has an air of badness for me.
