I think we should leave them as they are at present. I dont think it would do us any good what so ever to let them into soceity, they would be very unreliable and unpredictable. I mean there is no saying that they wouldnt spark fights or kill for something another has. They are basically a liability, what good would a liability be??

As Sythe has stated, humans are equally if not more so unpredicable and unreliable. Their only real fault is that due to past encounters with us they will be just as hesitant to form an aliance with us as we are with them.

Which is what I've been saying all along.
Or not. Let's just leave them alone until such a time as we have enough evidence to kill them. In an alternate universe, we have already killed the whole of the Sword Coast.

my point entirely, if what we have with them at the moment is fine then why risk changing that for a negative effect?

Indeed the chair is surprised with the grand majority askingto leave matters as they are, where before all seemed so eager to give this subject a place of high priority on the Senate agenda. I ask you all, without a desire for change, how would society ever advance?
Additionally, the chair feels he must express his doubts regarding the Senate's current classification system. Are Xvarts civilised solely because most speak our language whilst with kobolds, who in many other ways are quite similar, civilisation is non-existent because only a minority of these creatures has mastered our tongue? What defines a civilised race, and how does it differ from an uncivilised people? |

Well put, and a query which begs answering. Who among us is wise enough, or experienced enough to put forth a judgement upon who is civilized and who is not? How many of you have consumed milk, directly from the carton? And how many put that carton back, for your family members to use unwittingly? Is this not heinous and uncivilized? Before we make judgements on Xvart cultural capacity, maybe we should start with basic things. I move for an immediate cease-fire between all elvin/dwarvin/human adventurers, peasants, storekeeps and farmers and any other "civilized" members of society (that includes the beggars), and the Xvartish nation. I ask the senate to consider this armstice to be in full effect, irregardless of the actions of the perchance unaware Xvartish peoples, not fully understanding that there even is a cease-fire, hitherto such a time whereupon we have come to an official decision on the future of the Xvarts in question. Dragonshadow, I kindly implore you to limit the production, sale, and distribution of flamerthrowers to militant, anti-xvart companies, until such a time as such actions are properly sanctioned by the senate.
