Yeah, I have downloaded the patches 3 times now and cannot get Xzar, The Helm priest, or Mae'ver to talk to me. I have the damn bird Maroon, the statue from lathander, and have completed the unseeing eye quest. Please tell me I do not have to start over. Once again thanks a million.

I'm not sure, but I don't think patch takes effect in currently running games.
