oh yeah...

but you should consider the staff of power...if you have jaheira in the party, you can get a ring of wizardry, no problem...

staff of power...lightning bolts of paralysis, no save!!!wear a cloak of reflection, and watch the pinball game...

Or you can choose to wear two Rings of Wizardry and let loose the mid-level spells.

On a personal note, I find the Bard Stronghold to be my favourite. It may not be rewarding, item wise, but it is the second highest earning stronghold and has the most interactive and fun roleplaying quests.

I like the Thief and Mage Strongholds too.

The Druid Stronghold sucks. No really, I'm being too kind already. It really, really sucks, and by that, I mean it suckssss so bad, that it makes me want to rip something apart and kick down walls kind of suck. Have I mention that it sucks?

The Paladin Stronghold suffers in the stronghold part, but quest wise, it is rather fun too. The Cleric Stronghold is mostly talk, but the roleplay is there. The Warrior Stronghold is like owning a mini-city, what with the shop and temple (not to mention income from taxes). The Ranger Stronghold is pretty solid, with containers galore in an easily accessable location, easy but fun quests and one heck of an item reward.

What exactly does the druid stronghold do? I've never gotten it before, because you need to be max level, and I was just too lazy for that.

For roleplaying, I like the Cleric simply because you can play evil and actually be rewarded for it (instead of being penalized like most of the rest of the game). I like Paladin because you can do all of the quests right in a row if you wish; there is no downtime waiting for the next event. As soon as you do one task, you are assigned the next one, so you can just do the quests real quick and move on to other things. I haven't played a druid yet (one day I'll do a Totemic Druid), but have heard the worst about that stronghold. The only thing I didn't like about the Ranger stronghold is it was just 3 things about it. Haven't played a Bard or Thief (don't like either character type) but have heard the Bard one is really good. I do like the Wizard one, as well. The fighter one is kind of cool, too.

It's been a while, so I'm sketchy on the details, but the Spirit sends you to clean out the Troll Mound again, then sends you to rescue a child (in Trademeet, I believe) who is destined to become the next Great Druid after you leave. Overall, pretty dull.
