Castle Grella, Lucky Lance Tavern (ooc: I just had a lovely experience trying to eat french-fries... Ouch. Out with the drugs! Heh heh...) ~Through the darkness you heard a chuckle and obvious bare footfalls.~ "Nope! Not Toby!!" ~Toby lept nimbly as a drunk man could onto the bed beside you. He bared his fangs (which were wonderfully straight because he'd gone through multiple painful years of orthadontia ^.^) and growled.~ "I'ms da boogy man n' I'm gonna eatcha lil' ladee! Raaaarrr!" ~Laughing, he flopped down beside you, facing the ceiling.~ "Just kiddin' missee. Hopees I didn' scare ya too muchies." |

The Drow City of Jess Che'el ~Lac'Nala shook her head.~ "There's not enough time to quench the curiousity of Tril'orbb today!" ~She sighed reluctantly, looking at the spider.~ "You'll notice a sun engraved amongst the tarantula's segments. It was sent by 'good' drow. The weaklings that fled to the surface. We have time for no more history lessons. If it interests you so much you may look it up in the library later today, or ask the Matron if you have the gall. Now we must be moving on." |

Murdock
Murdock awoke. He was on the floor, in his own bedroom, still in stinking clothes of the night before. He tried to open his eyes, but the sunlight was too bright and it hurt. He remembered drinking last night, and felt around lazily for the proof of this myth. His hand found an empty bottle of something. He could not remember what. HIs last memories were of the grave of Zahara, and the hurt look in Mithia's eyes as he left her to go on a journey alone. She had not understood that it was for her own good, as he would be powerless to protect her from the Macaderians if they were thought of to be spies. He felt in his cloak for a particular item and found it. The reason he had to continue living. A promise to fulfill. He took it out and examined its red hue. What a prize this was! Maybe fetch enough gold to retire and live happily...or maybe make him a formible foe against anyone! But he replaced the treasure within the confines of his cloak. Although a rogue and a man that cared only for himself...he could not be so wicked as to enjoy the luxery brought by the deah of a friend...especally as Zahara had made him promise to take it to that guy she mentioned. Obviously, this was important. Maybe there would be a reward! Still feeling tired, Murdock merely laid there on the floor, staring around at the things in his room. |

Yawning, she stretched and then rolled over, resting her chin on Toby's chest. "Ims kinda tireded. Wanna go sleepy, boogie man? Or do ya still wanna play?" OOC- I'm gonna let you interpret that last sentence any way you want to. ^.^ *evil laugh* Edit- oops, realised i said "boody" man. sorry there Toby. ^.^;; [ 05-02-2002, 06:04 PM: Message edited by: Skydracgrrl ] |

Drow City Of Jess Che'el, House Of Kor'inth ~Lac'Nala led you through the oblivious streets of Jess Che'el. Oblong glances were fleeting, the priestess seemingly wanted to get you to your destination quickly. Among the things you saw in passing were enslaved gnolls on cruel chains, serious and grim looking mages taking console in front of a tall tower, and a tavern with drunken drow jeering in the window. Lac'Nala kept walking. At length the two of you made it to the direct heart of the city, to a several story gray building. The place was cold on the outside, draped with spiderwebs. Lac'Nala grinned.~ "The House of Kor'inth." ~She then held the door ajar, gesturing for you to hurry inside.~ ~The 'lobby' of the building held little more than chairs and doors. One drow male, apparently a well-versed fighter, sat behind a desk. He looked up at you and one of his eyebrows raised. He looked at Lac'Nala, his red eyes critical.~ "Please don't tell me you spent our money on him Lac'Nala! I told you, if you desired such company I-..." ~He was interrupted sharply by the priestess.~ "Silence Qee'lak! I've little patience for your words today! He needs to be enrolled quickly to satisfy the Matron. Sloth will lead to bloody backs for us all; so make haste you damned fool!" ~Qee'lak nodded his head grimly, retrieving some papers and a quill from the desk drawer.~ "So who's the bastard anyway?" ~Lac'Nala fumed.~ "It's no concern of yours! Do you question the Matron?!" ~Qee'lak shook his head quickly.~ "No priestess!" ~Lac'Nala sighed and focused one eye on you.~ "You could learn a lot from this bastard, Qee'lak. He's quick and quiet." ~Qee'lak chuckled under his breath.~ "Useful when you're sneaking him into your bed... Eh Lac'Nala? That last one was rather loud." ~The priestess smirked.~ "Oh yes Qee'lak. Almost as loud as you'll scream tonight when you're on my rack!" ~Qee'lak winced.~ "Yes Mistress I'll report for my beatings." ~He shifted the paper on the desk towards you, offering the black quill.~ "Sign right there on the line please." Murdock City Of Talever, His Home ~You looked around the room. Empty bottles were strewn carelessly across the floor. You felt like puking, and looked longingly towards the bathroom door, but couldn't bring yourself to your feet. Suddenly you heard a loud commotion on the street below, and felt a slight rumbling echoing up through the floor. You peered out the window to see what was going on. There you saw a familiar beast, you recognized it as Mithia's wild stallion, Ruinem. The horse was rearing and overall making a fuss, people on the streets were taking confused notice. You saw that the horse was fully tacked, out of typical Elvish fashion, and there was something foreign tied around the saddle horn. You rushed down to see what it was. Ruinem finally calmed as you stepped closer, standing tall still and proud. The thing was proved to be a cloth of some sort, and elegant writing was scrawled across it.~ Murdock, A map that once belonged to Celebring is tucked beneath Ruinem's cavesson. It will lead you to your destination. I fear your destiny is not interwoven with mine, and so I shall step aside. Take these things and don't look back. Sincerely, Mithia Uialom p.s. (the p.s. is scratched out furiously, and you cannot read it. The only legible part is the word 'hold' near the very beginning.) ~Ruinem now tossed his head. Tucked beneath his noseband was the map mentioned in the note.~ Skye Castle Grella, Lucky Lance Tavern (ooc: The orthadontist stole my soul! This morning my mouth hurt so bad... I REFUSED A POP-TART!) ~Toby chuckled.~ "Hee hee... Me likes to play. But it too dark for hide n' seek. Wes'd get lost." ~You felt Toby shiver again as you buried your face in his chest.~ "Oh... Das not da game ya wanted ta play huh? Heh heh... Toby likes that game too... He's perdy good at it." ~He sighed, nuzzling your hair.~ "But Toby kinda reluc-tant... Cuz after da game's over he always gets hit. Gots a chair thrown at me unce." ~He smiled.~ "So mesinks I should get a lawyer afore playin' ney more. Whaddya sink perdyness?" (ooc: "Toby likes that game too..." ROFLMAO! Now that's a quote!) [ 05-02-2002, 07:53 PM: Message edited by: Killing Spree ] |

Murdock
Speaking to the horse, he said..."Do you really wish to come along? It'll be dangerous, hot and I am not good company!" The horse merely stared at him. Shrugging his shoulders, he said, "Oh well...if you are as stupid as I am for even attempting this journey...then I suppose we belong together. Murdock mounted the steed and looked at the map. It was pbvious which way the desert lay, so he placed the map in his cloak, grabbed the reign of his borrowed horse, and left the city gates behind. makig good time, Murdock reached the edge of the desert just before sundown. He dismounted and set up camp. His adventure was about to begin. He suspected that the entire journey would be watched by unfriendly eyes, but as long as they kept distance, he would be fine. Feeling around in his back-pack, he made sure that he had packed his short-bow. |

The Red Silence ~You awoke to the pawings of Ruinem. You saw that the sun was just peeking over the horizon. The chestnut stallion stood tall and calm, his head high and facing the rising sun. He then snorted at you, nudging you with his velvety muzzle. You however, had plans of going back to sleep. When you nodded off Ruinem whinnied shrilly. You proceeded to glare at the steed. He stubbornly stamped a hoof, sending sand in your eyes. The horse wanted to get moving, and NOW!~ |

![]() IC-Skye Castle Grella, Lucky Lance Tavern Skye smirked, her face still buried in Toby's chest. She was starting to enjoy making Toby shiver... but maybe it was just the alcohol. She lifted her face up, and peered into Toby's. "Wells, I tinks Kuroshi says he wases a great lawyer," Skye said, mock serious. "And youse could makes sure dat the chairs 'n tableses are tied down fist." She grinned. " 'Sides," she continued, "I wouldnt hit ya. Would never wanna mess up yer purdy face." Skye reached over with her hand and stroked Toby's cheek. Then she rolled over to stare at the ceiling again, head still resting on Toby's abdomen. "You makes a nice pillow, d'ya know dat?" she purred. OOC- Er, did I mention that Skye is somewhat scary when under the influence? ^.^;; If you told her anything that she said tonite to her in the morning, she probably wouldn't believe a word... not that she wouldn't remember. Just in denial, lol. ^_^ she just tends to give in to her more... inappropriate impulses when drunk, ROFL. ![]() |

"Hey! Who's the leader of the expedition? Oh...alright...I'm moving." Murdock packed up quickly and made off for the x located on the map. It seemed to be trackless in the hot, dead desert...but trust in this map he would. It was the only thing that may save him. |
