Mistral
Her eyes narrow, a glaring golden light beaming from the slits ~ "And what if he never makes it back?" ~ Tension squeezing the breath out of her shivering form ~ How could I curse him like this?! ~ Her body turning agitated,a touch of hysteria rising in her voice ~ Yet it is so very real...how is one to know? "Should I not try to see him, lest I never get to do so again?" ~ Turning aside, she picks a few pebbles off the ground and begins hurling them into the pond. |

...Mistral...
~She returned your glare with wide-eyed apathy.~ "At least he would die knowing you were safe." ~She turned her gaze to the moonless sky.~ "You should think of his position as well as your own." ~She shrugged.~ "If the lythari are as powerful and nimble as they seem... I would expect Silas back within two days." |

After making merry in the tavern, then getting a sound night's sleep, a rarity for these two, they were ready to set off again.
OOC: could you post the map link again or tell me where it is, I need to do some checking up.

Mistral
"Two days!" ~ They're going to be the longest ones I've known... ~ Wretchedness tearing at her, she draws a long breath of air, trying to regain her composure ~ "I do not care for any labels that others might throw at me, Kala." ~ Her voice somewhat cold ~ "Yet I bear you no grudge, for you probably mean well." ~ Tilting her head skyward, she stares that the moon. Is it your will, Silas? That I should wait here for you? ~ The folds of the emerald green cloak flapping in the sudden gust of wind ~ Send me a sign, my love... ~ Feeling her energy draining away ~ ... send me a sign, and I... I will try to please you. ~ Cheeks trembling, she continues to strain her senses, eager for enlightenment. |

ooc: If anybody ever needs to find the map, my website is under my profile. But here is the address again:
http://www.angelfire.com/ga3/forgotten/ ...Mistral... (ooc: ![]() ![]() An eerie yet somehow familiar lone howl split the air. Somehow, you were reassured... TWO DAYS LATER ~A young boy ran swiftly on the road through the Western gate, beaming.~ "They're coming!" ~The child cried. You'd listened intently to news circulating. It was said that the battles were bloody and bitter, but the addition of new ranks and recruits, particularily the were-wolves, had made life easier. There were a number of casualties however, and a kind yet weary face older man read off what he could.~ "Dear people. Among the counted deaths we hold Damian Aradol, Merrick Earheru, Otto Cubeleg..." ~A list of meaningless names were ticked off. You peered anxiously over the crowd, hoping for the sight of a proud and unscathed Silas. You saw no such thing. You asked amongst the returning soldiers. Have you seen Silas Longfang? Silas Ancarak? Each head shook with a troubled expression but a tad of optimism.~ "Sorry miss, I have not seen him. He was in the last ranks though." ~You watched as the sun set and the last of the soldiers stepped home through the gate. Tears forming, you asked the last man.~ "Have you seen Silas? Silas Ancarak?" ~The archer inhaled sharply, an intent look on his bloodied face.~ "Yessum... Saw him at the start. Bloody good shot and bloody good blade." ~He scratched his chin.~ "Saw him yesterday, little scratched up... I'd think he'd have come in by now. Hrm..." ~He shrugged regretfully.~ "S'ry miss. He might be sneakin' round... Damn lythari can never be conventional if ya asks me. S'ry gain miss." ~The archer then continued on his road. You squinted through the night under the splinter of a moon, hoping to see a sign of Silas.~ |

Murdock
"Puppet, did you say? Vete a la chingada, pendejo chiclan!" Did your pointy little ears pick that up, or do I have to spell it out for ya?" Murdock turned his attention back to his mango and began to eat again. |

Mistral
She trudges on in zombie-like fashion, not paying particular attention to the path she is taking ~ "Silas." ~ Her forlorn whisper ending in a helpless sob ~ How can I live on without you? ~ The immense strain on her mind driving daggers through her temples ~ Please... don't let my wait be for nothing. ~ The images around her blurring into a watery world. Every step now hammers her head, burdens her heart further ~ Where are you, Silas? ~ Wiping across her eyes wretchedly, she pauses by a nearby tree ~ You promised me you'd be alright. ~ Leans against the cool damp bark, pressing her forehead against it. ~ I won't let you leave me... ...Murdock...
(ooc: Is this revenge for me speaking so much Macaderean?! ![]() ![]() ![]() ~Axel chuckled, a lopsided smirk falling over his face.~ "What a little fire-breather you are!" ~He held up an apologetic hand.~ "Really friend, I meant no harm. I just came to fulfill the puppet master's order." ~He handed a mug to Zahara with narrowed eyes and a thin smile.~ "Nice and strong, just how you like it." ~Zahara eagerly took the cup and sipped.~ "Ahhhhhh... The best hot chocolate in the business Axel. Perfect for getting rid of that lovely rodent aftertaste." ~She gestured for you to look at Axel as he took a seat on the other side of Zahara.~ "You could learn a lot from this man. Watch and learn they say." ~Axel, obviously fond of mocking Zahara, winced.~ "Really Zahry, I'd be rather uncomfortable having him watch that." ~She bit her lower lip, and hastily returned her gaze to her cup.~ "And then there are habits I really wouldn't want you to pick up." ~Axel chuckled.~ "Well I asked you if you wanted me to teach you how to cook once, Zahry, but you took it all wrong! Not that I minded your misinterpretation, but..." ~Zahara clamped a hand over Axel's mouth.~ "I think you've done enought talking for now Axey!" ~She gestured her free hand to you.~ "Murdock! Why don't you introduce yourself?" ...Mistral... ~You turned your gaze back through the Western gate as the softest of muffled sounds came from the road. A ragged and shadowed figure was hobbling down the path, leaning on a battered quarter staff. You couldn't see the traveler's face, but you could even from this distance hear their breathing, shallow and laboured. A tattered cloak whipped worthlessly in the wind, its hood shading the wanderer's face from the cold light of the splintered moon. A hoarse yet undeniably familiar voice cried softly on the wind.~ "Laurewen..." ~He whispered. Fifteen feet from the gate the quarter staff snapped in two and the unwary and unbalanced man fell to the ground. Slowly and creakily the elf regained his limbs, but soon after crumbled to his knees, coughs harshly echoing in the cold air, unseen blood staining the ground. In the flickering tourch-light you could see the fallen creature. It was Silas! He reached shakily one hand, looking to you through a soft veil of blood, trickling over his face.~ "Laurewen..." ~He grasped his stomach with both hands, coughing up more blood. He silently flinched and shuddered as the icey breeze infiltered the open wounds on his torso painfully. He looked to you with obvious anguish contorting his once unearthily elvish features.~ "Laurewen, h-help... Please... Death..." ~He cried great and deep torture, his eyes shutting tight as he flung his neck backward to reel his gaze to the heavens.~ "So close! Death so close!" |

![]() Murdock"Alright. Like she said, I am Murdock, and have lived my life in the city of Talever, and have made myself a fortune from the pockets of others. Yet, I want more than that boring life, and have been able to make aquaintences with your friend, here...who has agreed to teach me what progression in this line of business is all about. I have pledged my service to her, and will defend her at all costs. That is the least I can do in return. Okay, your turn...unless your shy, but that's unlikey." |

ooc: Sweet Southern boy my ass. You need your mouth washed out Larry.
![]() And Maverick cried with a look of shock and a tone of surprise... "Me? No! I'm as pure as Lathandar's holy water!" ...Murdock... ~He removed Zahara's hand from his face.~ "Xelos is the name, though my friends call me Axel. I'm a bastard from nowhere in particular and I opened this tavern on a heavy pocket filled entirely from boxing the ears of rogues and ruffians a whole 7 years ago. I met our lovely Zahara curiously enough when she attempted to lighten my load with her nimble little fingers." ~He shot her a grin.~ "I just recently awoke from the coma." |
