I got those stats on like my 3rd roll I couldn't believe my luck.
As for why 19 in Int for a Fighter (Kensai), well I am gonna make him a Mage when he gets to Lvl 13, meaning I can learn every spell in the game. Oh and swithing dificulty to normal when before starting the game worked, got 81 HP instead of 53. Then I put the rules back the Core Rules. Even though I put the dificulty back up on level up I think I got max HP roll as well, as it went from 81 to 96 HP, which works out as a roll of 10 and +5 HP per level cos of 19 con. So at Level 9 my Kensai has 96 HP when the rest of my party is in 70-80's. Some people will say it power gaming but my stats are legit and I have fun doing so I cant see whats wrong with it. Still its gonna be a pain getting up to Lvl 13 Kensai then going mage and haveing to get all those levels back befor I get my Kensai class back it will take quite a while. I figure it will be quicker if I kick all my party out quicky and then learn a load of spells that should shoot me up to about Lvl 8 Mage. |

Actually, its not too bad becoming a mage after becoming a L13 Kensai.
I usually save every spell I find prior to changing class (keep them in one of the bookshelves in the Adventurers mart), then gulp down a couple of mind focusing potions to raise my intelligence. Then we simply scribe every scroll we can get our hands on, 1000exp per spell level. I usually find that I level up to L11 simply by learning spells. Then its simply a matter of choosing the right quests to get up to that all important L14... [ 01-07-2003, 02:08 AM: Message edited by: Dace De'Briago ]

Dace, if you want a base of 95 and don't accept anything lower, isn't it easier to set those with cheats? What is the difference?
(as Luvian always says) Dave, nothing is wrong with powergaming if you're having fun, but imagine a person with a 18 in STR, CON, DEX and INT. There is not so many of them, don't you agree? He is a god at the very start of the game ![]()

lol. I admit 95 for base stats before tomes is high, but so what? I legitimately rolled it with the intention of making the 'perfect' character.
Cheating those stats would have taken the fun out of it for me RE Dave's one: You are the son of a God, so it wouldnt be entirely unlikely to have Godlike stats from the start... it also makes more sense of why everyone and his dog seems to know you are the spawn of Baal.
