Erm...let's see...how about...looking for help on BG2?
Seriously though, this place is great. Really well organised and nothing abusive tolerated!
I joined the NWN forum when I was hooked on NWN, but it still isn't the same as here. Sure, they had similar rules, but I find the atmosphere around here much more...more...family like, nothing corny intended. I love this place!

I joined in Oct 2000 looking for IWD help. I remember when I made first post (a wise-ass comment of course ) Yorick called me Intoxoboofhead. I decided I wasnt insulted and stayed on. Look at me now Mom

In Summer 1998 My son and myself bought Two brand new 500Mhz Athlon Compact Desktop computers w/microsoft word and office and we got to chose any three games each.Baldurs gate 1 and Tales of the sword Coast were my first two choices and My son got StarCraft 1 and WarCraft 1 and two other games . we already had dail up internet and so as soon as we got everything loaded in both computers we started looking for any help on the new games and I went straight to the Black Isle,BioWare, and Interplay web sites when I finished down Loading the Patches my son came in and told me to look at the Links and so I clicked on it first thing I noticed was top 10 Baldurs Gate sites and Top 100 Baldurs Gate sites. I clicked on the top 100 which really only had about 25 sites and 75 add your link here spaces as I looked these over I saw Ironworks and thought what does Ironworks have to do with a D&D game but I clicked on it and the world of Computer RPG opened up for me. After about two days of playing Baldurs gate I got stuck and needed help I tried everywhere on the net and then remembered I'd put a RPG site in my favorites so I looked and up came the Ironworks. I tried to post but it said you must join the forum in order to post. Well I had never joined any forum and this was new to me but after reading everything that had been asked about Baidurs Gate and not finding the answer I needed I took the big step and joined using the name The Masemaster, it was a name I used years before when I played D&D with pen & paper.
I watched The Ironworks grow and then I left the states for 7 months in late 2000 and spent some time in Tibet and when I returned the Ironworks said I didn't exist So I took the new name The Crimson Blade and what was really funny is I spelled it wrong so now I'm TheCrimsomBlade to many M's. But Thanks to the Ironworks I now spend more than $400.00 a year on RPG's and almost never have any time to do anything else other than work.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

I used the Ironworks site for some help with BG but didn't find the forums until later while looking for help with its expansion, TotSC.

My story is a little different to most people`s... I was looking for BG2 help
The difference comes in the fact that I used altavista rather than google

I was originally immersed in the old BG Dungeon boards that had a great community, but alas when BG2 first came out it was obliterated with new members that ruined the atmosphere with their rude, obnoxious, flaming, baiting behavior. They tore through newbies. It became so overwhelming that one day we faithful members found our beloved BG Dugeon closed permanently. So, to make my story short I went on google and it took me awhile to find IW. I've been here ever since I first logged on. This is the best forum community on the internet.
