So then, why would the US post a uniformed sailor, with rank, grade, and service member number to the consulate. Provide attache service, and allow joint venture with his counter part to observe US Navy operations jointly with their own, and allow the reports to be written in an open session?

Sir Degrader, would it be possible to have a more tactful title for this thread mate? Having these titles make it look like this site has an average member age of 7 or 8.

The US has had similar bans in effect for years, and the US recently got upset at Citgo for providing help US poor, but it's Venezuela that is "acting like a b**ch".

Yeah AFAIK Chavez has issues with The Bush Administration and not the American people or Our way of life.

Besides, are we not easing up on socialists and dictators?

I mean if we are going to let a non-democratic foriegn national company run our ports, we might as well re-instate the good ole USSR and make super nice with all the commies and dictators at once. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Done. Sorry about the title, was having a pissy day. Chewie, the fact remains this guy seems to be going nuts over the US. He's ordering tons of arms, badmouthing the US, and engaging in general sabre-rattling habberdashery. Why is he acting like this, and how can you stop it?

Why should I? I have no gripes with the people of Venezuala and I can care less about potty-mouths and sabre-rattlers. As President of a country he is entitled to arm-up for defense as much as he wants.

In fact I would be grateful for cheaper oil from Venezuala seeing as our home heating oil bill is up over 60% from last year. Almost a budget breaker.
