The US has had similar bans in effect for years, and the US recently got upset at Citgo for providing help US poor, but it's Venezuela that is "acting like a b**ch".

Yeah AFAIK Chavez has issues with The Bush Administration and not the American people or Our way of life.

Besides, are we not easing up on socialists and dictators?

Done. Sorry about the title, was having a pissy day. Chewie, the fact remains this guy seems to be going nuts over the US. He's ordering tons of arms, badmouthing the US, and engaging in general sabre-rattling habberdashery. Why is he acting like this, and how can you stop it?

Why should I? I have no gripes with the people of Venezuala and I can care less about potty-mouths and sabre-rattlers. As President of a country he is entitled to arm-up for defense as much as he wants.

In fact I would be grateful for cheaper oil from Venezuala seeing as our home heating oil bill is up over 60% from last year. Almost a budget breaker.
