Ban on Nazi-symbols?

Being underground is most likely their only way to survive, so i don't think they'd like to change their ways (for now). You don't have to be a psychic to forsee what will happen with an official naziparty building in this part of the world. At this moment they can do pretty much whatever they want, because nobody can tell where they're coming from, but should they be open to the public, i'm afraid their private life is over.

You're right, we let them come out. There will always be idiots, but if you look at when they come out there might be 25-50 of them, but 2,000 protesters. By alowing them to run arround, unpersecuted, it takes away one of the draws to their ranks. That draw being: There are a certain number of people that will do things because they see that a group is surviving inspite of being persecuted, it looks like there is a strength in the group. Purely historicaly speaking the early Church grew and was argueabily(sp?) the strongest durring the Persecution by the Romans. There wasn't many nonbelievers being eaten by Lions. To most Humans there is a certain draw to being part of something that has convictions. (not making a moral judgement on the validity of the convictions, just that convictions are powerful.)

You're an aggressive man Johnny! I would never smash someone's head in for wearing something! If they attacked me, my friends or my family, maybe! But it's only an armband at the end of the day, regardless what it might symbolise...

Thanks JD, I'm not sure I agree 100% with the church being the strongest then, but you definitely have a point with the need to be a part of something with conviction. It's only a short step from that to believing that society is persecuting you because you have convictions and that just makes the fanatics even worse...

I didn't see him doing any tricks or using the costume to mock the Nazis. Indeed, a man who represents our country shouldn't be acting so callously and I'll be damned if Nazi signs have to be removed from everywhere, inlcuding potentially educational sources, because our Prince thinks it's funny to act so stupidly.

Ehh... johnny... I never saw you as the sort of person to bash people in Nazi outfits. I'm comfortable with the swastika and, to a certain extent, agree with some of their policies (well, obviously not the racist kill-all-unpure-bloods policies).

If someone wants to be a Nazi, let them be Nazi. As long as they don't do anything while this is a democratic country, that's fine with me. Obeying the current laws is essentially what it's about, and whether our government was extreme right hand or extreme left hand, obedience is mandatory and I would have to accept that.

Anyway, regarding the ban, I agree with what everyone else has said - that we would have to rewrite books and erase movies which would takme out a part of history. Can the next generation never learn about Nazis?

Nazism today is like the Ku Klux Klan, what with the hiding and all... are they afraid that what they 'believe' is wrong?

If you want to punch a Nazi, that's fine, I just thought you were the non violent sort of person who would actually say something before blowing him to kingdom come. Oh well, I apologise if I'm wrong and I guess I shouldn't make judgements.
