This is by far the absolute STUPIDEST thing I've *ever* seen in a computer game. Words do not describe how monumentally retarded this is.

Coming back to BGII after a long time away, and figured I'd try solo'ing. Never done it before, so rolled up a FMT and went nuts on the mods. Read each one pretty carefully to make sure it wasn't going to implement anything aggravating, and definately didn't come across "Make enemies follow you while you're frigging INVISIBLE" in any of the descriptions.

So, my question. Anyone know what mod this is? And ideally, how I can deactivate this most-retarded-of-all options?

*Edit* May be worth noting this only seems to be Mae'vars cronies (Assassins) Perhaps it's a bug with them specifically? It's making solo'ing Maever completely impossible at this point, as I am constantly surrounded by 4x-backstabbing rogues who don't seem to miss, despite my AC-5 >

Sounds like the Sola mod: it improves AI of some enemies; remember that when an Improved Invisible creature moves, they can be seen slightly: you CAN attack an (improved) Invisible enemy, but you can`t target spells at them. So why should enemies not have the same benifits/penalties ?? It leads to a far more balanced fight.

Aye, not talking about an improved invisible spell after you've done something to dispel the original complete invis. I approach the area in total invisibility, and the damnable Assassins know exactly where I am

Looks like you're right. One of the Sola options is "Improved Mae'Var" Unfortunately, it's not one of the options you can choose to deselect

What's your 'Move Silently' value? If your 'realism' factor is what you are shooting for, you have to remember that even if you are unseen, if you move around like you wear size 18 tap shoes with bells on the laces, they will have a general idea of where you are.

However, if your Stealth value is pretty high (70-80+) then yes, what you are saying is pretty sad for being detected while being Invisible. Bring it up to Dundee and maybe they can work on it at the next Mod meeting (he seems to know when/where/who all these things are )

I have no mod installed. It happened to me that the Rune Assasins of Reliek (Bridge District) could see me although I was invisible (drank a potion of invisibility). Not unfair enough, they backstabbed me without being at my back.

Flibble, I'd agree with that assesment, except for one fact - I can be standing there, and one of the assassins will walk up from OFF my screen, and stand there. Blargh.

My move silently is an unimpressive 55%, so it's possible that's why they're hearing me when I'm moving. But waltzing up when I'm hiding invisible in a corner to pen me in is just.. well.. lame

Looks like I'll have to cheese my way through this one. Bummer, but ah well.

Its not necessarily a mod, many enemies in the game have the ability to see Invisible characters, a few worth mentioning are Kua Toa and Glabrezu. There are many more besides but I can't remember them off the top of my head.
