After finishing the game I think it's quite obvious we must expect a follow up, specially with the max level limit allowed and the fact that we can't reach there before finishing the game one time, I hope it won't take them ages to publish an expansion pack or IWD 2

The way it's set up currently, the first game in the series (Baldur's Gate) takes you on a specific quest, which gets you up several levels. The next game (BGII) takes you up farther, and into more difficult quests and adventures. How far exactly is unknown, but I'm thinking probably a bit beyond what Icewind Dale reaches. Icewind Dale itself is not likely to get a sequel, it's just sort've a "side project" which was meant to stand alone.

What would be cooler, in my opinion, would be to have slightly cheaper games, each of which is more like a "module" that we used to play in pen-and-paper games (well, some of us played, anyways). Perhaps $25-$30 for each module, which has about the playability of Icewind Dale, taking you to different parts of the world, and each successive adventure perhaps tieing (however loosely) into the previous modules.

I know that I would purchase every module in the series, even if it used the same engine, just so that I could keep importing my characters and playing them through bigger and better adventures.. and I'd probably like the party to be halfway between BG and IWD.. 3-4 characters created by the player, with a couple slots for NPCs to join up, who would have more specilized skills and serve to advance the plot. Black Isle could really make alot of $$ this way, and please thousands of AD&D fans.

Wretched speaks true. Wow, could you imagine "Against the Giants" with the Infinity engine used in BG and IWD?
