The usualy suspects, firkraag, kangaax and so on didnt slow me down much. Moslty because I knew they were coming.

Its the big party battles where everybody brings along a few friends that bug me most. Show me a single target and ill have it down as soon as i figure a weakness, but with more than about 4 the battle gets too confused, you cant micromanage effectively and have to rely on your characters AI. Especialy when some ejit casts Entangle and you cant see for writihing plants.

The battle that stands out most was the Iron Throne building. I ended up Hiding imoen, backstabbing (back when *3 multiplier was impressive) and then legging it to the roof room, healing and repeating to the lower floor, healing and back to the roof....
Took a while, but eventualy they fell.

aec'letec, the nabassu at the end of ToTSC, was a pain until i found out a small bug with Ottilukes resilient sphere that made the battle (almost) impossible to loose.

NOthing ive done in BG2 (i havent done twisted rune or the imprisoned one) comes close though. By then your so damn powerful nothing has a serious chance.

I agree with Andrewas.. In SoA, you get spells and abilities that make the majority of the battles much easier. Cloudkill near the end of BG1 would wipe out your party.. but in SoA you get Zone of Sweet Air. Even when you take into consideration the differences in levels of chars and enemies, I think that BG1 battles are tougher.

Ahh, the poison arrow/bolt trick?(they can still be poisoned and take that damage even though you can't otherwise hurt them.)
