Yes, the forum has gotten very slow lately..I often have to re-start like three times before I can read a thread

And there I was blaming my own computer again. That's what I always do, you know

(The slow forum strikes back: FC where you didn't think it could happen...)

I think what is slowing it down is the "Who's Online" Mod I added. I just removed it to see if that will correct the speed issue.

That Mod IS in 'Beta', but is stable on other UBB boards--SOME have had slow issues with it though.

It seems better now, but it's hard to say because it wasn't consistant before. I hope it fixes it!

It does seem heaps faster now. But I NEED Who's on Line. I didn't realise how much I used it before it left *sob*. Every minute or so I think, I'll check who's on line

Seems to have speeded up no end, Ziroc. Could just be a co-incidence, but it's faster than its been for a while.

Thanks!

Haven't encountered any slowdowns since the removal of Who's Online.

WOW! Fast as lightning now!!!!

But I'm with Aelia. I sure hope you can come up with a way to put the Who's Online function back on without it slowing the board down so much. :S I really like that function, but it is nice to be able to actually post more than once every five minutes.

And thank you ever so much for all the hard work you've put into this board, Dan. *HUGS* You're my hero! (But of course, I worship only the CHOC! )

I never noticed the "Who's online was missing", but I did notice the speed up in loading times. I'm on a DSL line and it took forever. I tried using my modem and had to crash my computer out of frustration.
It's quick as can be right now, though.
