1. I left Aleroth to go and secure an escort for the healers. I crossed the bridge, passed the Blue Boar Inn, found the Dwarven Bread Inn, continued heading south and east, but I still can't find General Alix. Did I overshoot?

2. Is there a decent merchant in this game? I need some repairs, plus I would like to sell the ton of items I have but trading has been sparse at best. Even George was limited in scope of items, et. al.

3. How does one utilize the Repair skill? In other words, if my armor is need of repair, do I need to take it off first and cast on it?

4. Those Orc Drummers are really getting on my nerves! Please, I beg of you, what works against them???

1: General Alix should be identified on your map. After the bridge, go south, and follow the road.

2: Yes, North of The Drawven bread Inn, along the road, you'll find the Riverside Market.

3: You can use it on equiped item, just open your Equipment screen.

4: Learn the Spell freeze. That's about the only way to kill them.

I like selling things to Geoff in the market. He generally gets a nice supply of gold fairly frequently, apparently from reselling the stuff I bring in.

As for repairing, select the repair skill, right-click to activate it (cursor should turn to hammer and anvil), and then left-click on what you want to repair. If you can repair it, you should see the numbers go up.

And in addition to the freeze spell, Scorpion traps are nice (very nice, in fact), and weapons of cold (frost, etc.) will also freeze your opponents.

Scorpion traps are broken. Do yourself a favor and play the whole game without scorpion traps.
They werent tested close to well enough, a scorpion trap can wipe out essentially everything in the game by itself if you raise up that skill. Dont do it heed my advice.

Agree, Scorpion traps are WAY WAT too powerful, esp in the early stages of the game (actually, all the way to the very high levels but once you get high enough level, u can soon clear an area faster). Still, for mage orientated characters they are a life saver in the earlty stages of the game. Although i gave up on them soon enough as they wandered around too much. They are still handy to deal with enemy mobs though....

-------------------------------------

I find repair a bit of a waste of a skill points. Given that it is so easy to reach a smithy to get repairs done. Gold is soon not an issue once u progress into the game.
------------------------------------

For orc drummers, do not attack using the "ctrl" button. With a mage chr, target the drummers with ranged spells. otherwise target the drummer specifically as a top priority.
