I bought it because several people here, including Sazerac and Ziroc, told me it was great! I don't have enough memory on my system now to run it properly, though, so until I upgrade my pc, I decided not to load it.

But if it helps, I heard a lot of good things about it!

You'll probably have better luck posting about DD in the CRPG forum.
And yes, DD is a good game.

Yepp I´ve played, as have some of my friends over at the W&W forum (And those two have played it through a bunch of times). It´s a good game, a little too much of a Diablo clone for my liking though, but definitely worth the money.

It has also got very low system requirements. You only need a PII450. It does use a lot of disk space though.

Considering that this is a good game (IMHO), doesn't seem like many threads about it.....

....Or are ppl just finding this too easy.....

I have been playing since mid december. One of the great points about this game is, if your like me and cannot devote your full time to a game, you can easily leave the game and come back later and pick up where you left off. This is due to a great inbuilt journal system. All quests are recorded as well as all the conversations you have.
The game itself is fantastic IMHO.
I was always a fan of Diablo 1 but wished that the role playing was more indepth. DD is that (for me anyway).
Also the game has a mature feel about it. I dont feel that the developers were making a game for 10yr old's here.
Also the female survivor is one sexy babe
The game is huge and there always seems to be yet another quest that needs doing.
From the postings I have seen here I reckon I am about half way through and at a guesstimate it has taken me about 60 hours to get that far.
I have had a few problems with solving some quests but by posting (in another forum) I have been able to continue. And when you know the answers it all seems logical. I just dont have a very logical brain
DD is a great experience and I have been able to completely loose myself in it. The last time that happened was Wiz 8.
I love it. Shame it doesnt have its own IW forum.

I'm looking for a good rpg these days. What about DD? I mean experience and level system, freedom, character creation etc

Zolton, I installed this game a week ago and though I needed some help in how certain things were done I can honestly say I have really enjoyed myself. Here are my reasons:

1. The world is huge and is basically non-linear which brings you a significant amount of freedom.

2. Leveling up is done two ways: Completing Quests and Fighting Monsters, et. al. You gain experience points. In a sense it is like Diablo and NOX but more so. As the game progresses, though, it becomes more and more like an RPG. If you are looking for a Baldurs Gate or IWD clone this is not it. Nor is it a Diablo/NOX clone. It probably is best like a combination.

3. As you level up you get five points to place wherever you want in character statistics. Also you will get one skill point to choose various skills. The good thing is that you are not limited to any one class. I am a Warrior but I also am able to cast spells and have some thieving abilities. It is a really cool way to shape your character AND it forces you to be wise in your choices.

4. The side quests are cool and you will need to take every one that comes along if you want to get to higher stats and gain more skills. Try to fight every monster that comes along, too.

5. The graphics are nice, though the PC seems a little wooden to me. I wish it had more fluidity like BG characters in movement, etc. The music, bleh! - but I just turned it down to low.

Overall it is a fun game to play. I suggest looking at My posts to DD Veterans and that should give you a greater feel for the game.
