Might be some sort of weird bug, or maybe you popped a dog without knowing it. Joining the thievs guild should have no effect on any of the animals in the game.

You might be right Nightowl2, although I don't remember killing any dogs. These dogs are too easy to dispose off anyway.

In the many games I played, all my characters joined the Thieves Guild, and not one had a problem with normal animals attacking. Note, by the way, that this was the original, unpatched release. One never knows what might happen when a patch is installed!

I played with a patch version and joining the thieves guild won't make dogs attack you. so you may have accidentally attack a dog unknowingly.

Guess I did something wrong. I played the game twice and on both account, I have managed to piss off every dog in the game world. Since there isn't ant fun mod, I am bored with the game and was about to uninstall it anyway.

Check your trophies list. If a dog's on it, they'll probably be pissed. I accidently killed a cat somewhere, now they hate me--and Verdistis is crawling with them.
