After years of waiting, Freelancer is finally here... well, almost. Is anyone else looking forward to it as much as I am?

Since it's a combat simulation game, not even the hills can save you.

I must be blind, but what's the spec for the game?

Its not a mere combat sim..
but about those specs: The minimum (at this time) is a PentiumIII 500MHZ, with 128MB RAM. You'll probably need some serieus firepower to run it in High Res. though

Yeah, I like the part where I don't need a joystick to play since I have not gotten myself a USB joystick yet. My Old Gameport Joystick refuse to run on my P4.

actually i'm rather disappointed by the fact that as far as i know you can't use a joystick. I have no problem supporting a new type but I love space combat sims like tie fighter. the mouse system would have to be very well done to overcome my desire to fly the ship. It would have been nice if they have added joystick support

Angelousss,

Actually from what I read from the preview from Gamespot and Firingsquad, the game does support joystick but since the flight control is modeled something like a FPS or better known as 3D shooter, it is easier to steer the ship using mouse rather than the joystick.

By the way, the game will be published by Micro$oft. It seems that they are now everywhere.
