I'm confused. I've been trying to make my own little plugin. I know it's been done befor but all I'm trying to do it make a little area for me to put all my stuff. Anyway I followed the tutorial, made the doors and doormarkers etc but when I add the plugin into data files and play the door to my area doesn't appear! Why doesn't it?

While I was making the interior cell I noticed alot of *'s. Does this mean I've made a "dirty plugin"? I've loaded up others similar plugins and they don't have any. I've even run a utility ESPcleaner on my plugin and it didn't do anything.

All I've done it drag and drop room pieces from the Object Window (static and door tabs) like the tutorial said to do. I don't have anything else, no scripts, furniture or items, etc.

Any Ideas?

I've not tried making a house yet but try this site:

http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind/tamriel/tutorials/

BTW I don't recommend the ESPCleaner. I don't think that works well. Here's my tip. After making your house go to World then scroll down and do those three or four Tests listed. Then save and try your plug-in. Try making the house with the other ESM (tribunal and bloodmoon) also so that it will be compatible with all three games.

If that still doesn't work, then go to a house already made and see what works or just copy and edit that and drop it somewhere not being used by any other plug-ins. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the help GForce. However I have already been to that site and it didn't help much. I've tried some of those tests and I'm not too sure what they do. It seems to me that they fix stuff that has nothing to do with what I've made. I don't like the idea that I'm adding stuff to a plugin that had nothing to do with it. They might be what I need to do to get it to load though.
Does anyone have any links to what these tests do?

Maybe there's something you can use on this site.

You have to select and create 2 sets of door+doormarker
1 in your cell to get out...
1 in the exterior/interior cell through which you want to access your cell...

I guess you do this, but just in case...

I'm not too sure what was wrong with my plugin. I had btw done both doors. Anyway I decided to try again with a different idea and my new plugin works fine. I think one reason that the first one didn't work was that I had one of my Door Markers up in the air too far. The entry door(trap door) from the outside was supposed to be underwater and I wanted it to lead into a semi flooded room that you would fall into so I had the Door Marker at the top of the room. I have a feeling the game didn't like it since there wouldn't be a path to it (or whatever).
Well anyway I like my new plugin better anyways. I took the Telvanni council room and made it into a large room with a bed in the middle, some plants around it, a dresser and closet, and lots of chests and shelves. The top area has floating platforms with Armor Mannequins. Looks really nice, sounds good too with the tinkling crystal sound. I finished it and added a door to it and worked the first time.
In any case thanks for the help.
