Hi. I'm 14th level and the sword I'm using is called "Icicle". It's a longsword that does 1-25 frost damage. It doesn't have many charges though. I bought it in the Balmora Mage Guild. I need a better sword. I really don't want a two-handed one but will take a real nice one. Where can I get a good sword? I know the Imperial Cult gives you one but I don't want to wait. Suggestions? Oh, my enchanting skill is 0.

Well you sound like you don't mind stealing, might try the guard towers in Balmora, there's a sword on top of one of the closets there. I think it's the tower behind your Blade's bosses house. It's on the second floor and all you need to do is sneak and grab once you turn the guard around by talking to him. Just not everyone likes to steal.

Good - Fighters Guild Jink swords.
Better - Bandit caves.
Best - Draedic Ruins.

Yes, there are some great weapons in some of the quests, but... I was using enchanted "Damage/Paralyze" weapons for a while but I kept running into people with "Reflect" so I now prefer a plain Draedic Katana or Wak because I can hit my enemies so many times that they can only get off one or two shots at me.

Check the St. Olms underworks in Vivec, there you'll find a Daedra Cult made up of three worshippers. And a nice Daedric weapon. It seems that it's often a sword.

The Goldbrand is not a bad sword. It is basically a super deadric katana (10-50,chop) enchanted with fire damage (1-10 fire damage). BTW, It is a quest item given by one of the gods.

I really don't want to steal...I'm a custom paladin. So far my only crime has been trying to sleep in someone else's bed.

Yes, no stealing required, but be warned that the people defending that shrine are level 11 to 23 and will gang up on you fast, plus summon like they have unlimited magicka.

If you don`t mind a two hand sword, what you need is "UMBRA" sword, and beliveme you do not need any other weapon! In order to get this sword you have to kill a warrior in the mountains between Balmora and Marandus? (I think). Now, this warrior is not a piece of queike, better be a level 15 or better and a mana over 200. I had 400 and it was tough.
