OOC: Can't you just assume we're going what Pathris thinks is north? As our ranger doesn't have anything to say in this matter, Pathris will be our best shot, I'd assume.

Pull a Deiter on you? NEVER! But, I'm really swamped with work I miss you all and will try to be back from March. In the meantime, I'll be on MSN every once in a while. You take care and churn out your epics, 'K? I'm expecting a lot from you, but I know you can do it!

With an exasperated sigh, Pathris began walking in the direction he thought was north, not caring if the others were following. Their lack of decisiveness was starting to grate on him. Try as he might to get the others involved in decisions, they still did nothing. "Perhaps it's best to leave the blundering fools by themselves," he thought. "But if they want to follow..."

The Elf had an arrow nocked and ready to fire as he walked toward the large tree. His eyes gazed over everything, keeping a lookout for anything that might be amiss. The dark cloak flowed behind him as it caught the breeze, revealing the weapons at his belt. He moved gracefully, but inside, he was as tense as could be, almost to the brink of exploding. Between his companions and the images still flashing through his head, it was nearly too much.

(ooc: Well I wasn't sure you were going north, North is just the base direction you look for when... Oh nevermind! Go on, follow Pathris! He seems to have it together! Now let's see where ya'll end up...
Mistral- I've got a three day weekend coming up, we'll have to catch up! Maybe you can be the first beta tester for my mod...)

The Party

A long, but peaceful walk was a decent change of pace from the ache and toil you'd awoken to what seemed like an eternity ago. The world around you seemed bent on ignoring your existance. Nothing really exciting was happening, but then nothing was bothering you, and after your days in the dungeon it seemed quite a treat just to walk freely.

Walking what you supposed was straight North, the daunting sea of grass around you steadily became a memory. The sun set, and a haunting, beautiful twilight crept across the land, the stars beginning to wake in the cloud mottled sky. You came over hill after hill with an aching feeling of natural disheartenment filling you; there was no telling when you would reach civilization. Suddenly Ryukari, your young but determined companion, raised his golden head and stopped, his eyes wide. Following his gaze, you saw the peaceful street lamps of a village...

ooc- *cough* ahem, if you don't know yet, I won't be able to access teh internet from friday-sunday sooo... ^^

ic- Noticing Ryukari's stare, Skye followed her companion's gaze. Looking at the lights for a good moment, everything that had occurred in the past 48 hours finally caught up to the young female bard, and she did what she's never done before.... fainted. The others turn around to see the half-elf collapsed in a heap on the ground, out cold from mental exhaustion.

ooc- *whistles innocently* how convenient indeed.. And try to refrain from having Pathris make snide remarks about this.. she wouldn't faint otherwise if it hadn't been convinent.. ^^;

ooc: Pathris not make comments? Skye, I think you ask too much. Besides, if DA can not show up for a couple of days, I don't see the harm of you doing the same thing (unless Spree has something nasty involved, in which case I ask that Pathris be involved ).

Pathris walked on, ready and alert. After a few moments, he could hear the sounds of the others following. Pathris was not sure whether to be glad or not at that fact. But he kept himself ahead of the others, striding confidently through the plain. There was no sign of any danger.

The group, slightly fractured at the moment, walked on, over hills and over more grassy plains, but still there were no signs of anything, danger or civilization. Pathris didn't care either way. He could go without danger for a short time, and he wasn't exactly in the mood to deal with people at the moment. But the others still trudged along behind him. "I wonder if they've grown tired yet?" he thought to himself. "Weaklings."

The sun set and an open night sky loomed above them. Pathris took a moment to gaze into the sky and smile at the shining jewels twinkling above. Their soft light was a comfort to him. Many nights he had spent outdoors with only the stars to keep him company. It brought back memories. To himself, he recited:

"I walk amongst the starlight
In the midst of the moonless night
And I will not fear any fright
Nor take heed of my own plight
Even though to others it might
Elude their keen sense of sight
My guardian star's shining light
Is there, comforting and bright
And forever may it be alight!"

Yes, that was the little rhyme he had composed one of the days after his parents had been murdered. He had been so alone, and who better to share his feelings with than the ever luminous stars of the moonless sky? They had wept with him that day, and now they shared his smile.

He turned and gazed back at the others, who were now catching up. The travel and seemingly hopeless search for civilization seemed to be wearing on all of them. So he waited near the crest of the next hill. The others trudged their way forward, with the little dragon bursting ahead and reaching the top of the hill before anyone else could. Ryukari stopped suddenly, and Pathris quickly bounded up the hill to see what the wyrmling saw. It was a village.

Suddenly, Pathris heard something and quickly turned to see Skye slumping to the ground. "What's wrong with that fool girl?" he thought after a choice curse. "We should just leave her here," he said aloud. Then he caught the look Ryukari was giving him and sighed. "Yes, I know. I wasn't serious. Maybe you'll understand when you get older," he said to the dragon.

He turned to the other Elves. "Well, someone's going to help me carry her to an inn. This isn't a job for me to handle by myself. Although I'm sure our spellcaster will plead 'lack of strength.' I'm probably not much stronger than you anyway, if at all." He got in position to lift Skye. "Someone take the legs. You can't back out either, since I have the heavy part." He began lifting her gently even though he scowled. "Certainly seems that she was well-fed while imprisoned," he thought as he struggled with her weight, although it was probably more exhaustion from the ordeal in the cave.

ooc: Yay for bad poetry! Could've done better if I had felt like it, but isn't one of the unwritten rules not to have poetry better than the DM herself could write? Just kidding, Spree.

Anyway, now you can't say that I haven't done a long post about nothing in a while.

Turgon carefully shook his head as he saw Pathris walking away. "Why the rush?," he thought, even though he realized that it wouldn't be smart hanging around for too long.

He smiled, and followed the rogue on his path. It was amazing what one sleepless rest could recover him that ,uch, or atleast so he felt himself. He gazed around on the wild nature beside him, and really learned to appreciate what he saw. Being in the such a dungeon for atleast two days was a new experience for him, and he would prefer not to try it again.
"How I have missed the wild forests," he quietly said to himself. "I'd appreciate some civilization more now, however."

As the daylight faded more and more, Turgon became more and more uneasy. He wouldn't like to wander around all night on a place like this, where he knew it was evil and dangers not far away.
Because of this, he became even more happy when he saw the outskirt of a village. "Finally!," he thought to himself, and smiled. His enthusiasm (sp?) was much reduced when he saw Skye collapsing, however. He kneeled down before her, and tried to wake her up. Without results.
After hearing what Pathris had to say, Turgon quickly replied. "Can't we just try the old water on the face-trick first?," he hopefully said. Noticing that there wasn't any water around, though, he sighed, and picked up Skye's legs. "Let's get moving," he said, and started walking against the streetlights.

OOC: I'm gonna be away this weekend, just to let you guys know. I'll be back on monday.

lurin looked around the village, he would obviously have been happier sleeping under the stars in the woods but if he had to he would sleep in the village. thinking to himself he looked around and smelt the air, he was lagging behind in the group and stopped. he looked at the tress glad to be back outside, and then followed the group once again.

(ooc: I'm sorry I wasn't around, everybody. My internet's been a completely disagreeable $&*!# all weekend. I... Wait a sec, half of you weren't here anyway. OK, I don't feel so bad now. Back on track!)

The Party
Your group makes an easy trip toward the town, seeing new details with every step. You could tell that the place was fairly wealthy, even by looking only at the tall, well-polished gate and the clean cobbles just within. The town looked fairly small in this twilight hour, but warm and charming all the same. Before you could make it to the gates though, Ryukari stopped dead in his tracks and whimpered pitifully. He nudged at Skye's unconcious form, to no avail. He would have to try and communicate with you non-draconic speakers.
"Y cor not sure Ryukari... Supposed go there... Ryukari is... Not an akara... Eh... Not... Elf..."
