"i too would also like to look at that chest, but i am in the same mind as Turgon" Lurin said to the rest. he walked into the center of the room, and looked at the mosaic pattern on the floor.what relevence has all of this got to do with the dungeon? he thought to himself. he marvelled at the floor, the carving and work for this must of been a heavy task. walking back towards Turgon lurin said something that had been bothering him for a long. he chose Turgon because right from the start he had trusted him just a bit more than the others, and he seemed to be somewhat reasonable. speaking quietly he said to Turgon " we still have not figured out what part Skye was meant to play in all of this, and it bothers me. we have also yet to find any considerable guards or any real resistence. its strange. i would have thought by now if skye was important that the master would have sent someone after us. it just feels too quiet, like something is about to happen"

ic- Skye grinned at Ryukari as it fluttered around excitedly. Y aky opi glias Y upo clugh deszeld wings, unfortunately. Ty ilalmayr syr wonderful if Y could ever become vay free vay fus yi yoir among ders clouds char fus, Ryukari." she smiled sadly. But jhala does opi mean ty does opi exist, Ryukari. Perhaps ty does opi exist physically, but ty upo easily exist here." she lay a hand over her heart. Ders vinc yf opi criluu auth. Ghar yf criluu hope, remember jhala."

Skye quickly recovered from her serious moment and walked towards the other room with a spring in her step."Wow, this is quite a room. Wonder what it's doing in a place like this?" she said aloud with curiousity. Walking towards one of the columns, she examined the carvings upon its surface. After, she went and scrutinized the statue.

ooc- what does she find...

(ooc: Wasn't enough to steal his clothes, his heart, and his life, huh Skye? Now you want his ownership papers, HUH?! ROFLMAO! )

The Party

Skye's examination of the pillar was curious. The lettering was deeply chiseled into the ebony, yet something about it reminded her of wet ink being smeared by a careless hand. The writing was illegible for the most part, though it didn't really matter since she didn't recognize the language. A few pictures were carved into the column as well, though it was impossible to tell what they were of on the dark medium. Ryukari lingered by the pillar, examining it critically, before returning to Skye's side.

The statue was even more interesting than the column up close. Though the stone hood shadowed the eyes of the woman, it was easy to tell she was quite fair. The statue's lips were curved in a slight frown. The overall effect of her face made you think she was lamenting something. Most curiously about the statue was a small symbol chiseled into the back of one of her folded hands; the emblem glowed with the eerie blue of the brazier flames, and depicted a flying arrow with elegent fletchings.

The entire room seemed peaceful and beautiful to you.
Yet.
Lurin had spoken too soon.

As Skye was examining the statue, a horrendous, echoing clang suddenly rang through the tall ceilinged room. Each and every door leading out of the room now had a set of cold, metallic bars over it, blocking any passage. A trickle of the eerie blue light slipped down the face of the statue. Ryukari, sensing something beyond the shock all of you had come to, growled quietly and nudged Skye back several steps from the statue.

A pale cerulean specter "stepped out" from the statue. The ghostly creature lowered her hood, revealing silken spectral hair and a painfully sad countenance. She looked at each of you with eyes made soley of the blue light. She looked exquisite, even with her hopeless, melancholy expression. Her ears were long and tapered like an elf's, but none of you had ever even seen an elf so strikingly beautiful. Her voice matched her, an elegant, but sorrowful whisper.
"Bound to one, lost, forgotten. This is my providence. This is my undoing. This is my doing." Her gaze continued to float to each of you. "As I am bound, until I am delivered, it is my task to delay you. Forgive me, that was not my doing. Oh, if only he would summon..."

ooc: Pathris wanted to help you, Skye, but I wouldn't let him! And now Spree has made him think twice about it, and he's leaning toward leaving you caught in the trap. I believe his words were: "Serves her right."

Pathris followed the rest of the group into the large room. It was a quite niely decorated, and the Elf took a moment to gaze at the decor. There were some pillars and a statue, but only the chest caught his attention. He didn't even pay mind to the many doors leading out of the room. "Yes, I'll go check the chest out," he said in response to the others.

He hadn't gotten very far when he heard the sound of bars blocking each of the doors. "Damnit, Lurin!" he muttered to himself. Not that Pathris actually thought Lurin's "it's too quiet" comment had any effect on what had transpired; he just wanted to blame it on someone.

Pathris turned and caught sight of a specter coming from the statue. It was a light blue in color and in the shape of a very beautiful woman. And while initially he was shocked, soon his heart of stone took over and he turned away from the woman. His heart may have softened a little as of late, but in the end, it did not matter. All the pain he had in his own life was now locked away, and the suffering of others now affected him little. Even when the specter's unsettling gaze swept over him, he did nothing more than return her gaze with apathy and a roll of his eyes.

He started off toward the treasure chest again, ignoring everyone else. "If they need me, they'll call." He studied the chest and the area around it carefully, looking for traps and other fun stuff. He cracked his knuckles in anitcipation of some deft disarming.

Lurin seeing the specter was amazed by its beauty. he had seen beautiful elves, and nymphs but this was something else. he heard its trailing voice as it ended its sentence, and lurin decided to speak."summon what? what are you talkign about?" he looked at her puzzled waiting for a reply. he looked around the room, and then back at her waiting for an answer.

ic- Skye decided to remain silent, waiting to see the lovely being's reaction to Pathris's actions and Lurin's question.

The Party
At Lurin's question, the specter hung her head mournfully, several crystaline tears falling from her face and hitting the chest. Even with his heart of stone, the ethereal sparks that flew from the small splashes distracted Pathris, making it hard to tell if there was anything amiss with the chest. The ghosty woman looked at Lurin, stauching her flow of tears suddenly.
"No, it is too late for me, this one I am bound to is far too strong. I only wish he knew... He is still so very young, you see. He does not understand yet. He is growing to be so dark..."

ooc: Pathris will not succumb to the dark side, Skye! He will not join your legions! He is free!

at Skye anyway.

Pathris tried to study the chest, but the tears of the apparition distracted him. The ethereal sparks caused him to step back, disrupting his concentration. "Do you mind? I'm working here!" he blurted out. It was not looking to be a good day.

When the woman stopped crying suddenly and looked at Lurin, Pathris returned to his task. All this talk about being bound was unsettling, and the more he could concentrate on something else, the better things would be. "Just give me a chance to look around, at least. If we're going to be delayed, then I might as well make it worth my while."

ooc: well fine, see if Icare that Pathris will never be poptart qualified *pout*

ic- Skye approached the woman hesitantly, making sure that Ryukari stayed back, just in case. "Is there any thing I can do to help?" she asked softly. "This wouldn't perchance tie into the reason why I'm an important captive, would it?"
