Calaethis walked over to his cousin and said; "Calm down, dear cousin, he looks like a street urchine, an elf. Judging by his clothes, he appears to be one at any rate." Cal sniffed the air. "He stinks like the other street filth as well. Would drow send such a clumsy spy Ali? I think you'll scare him into wetting himself if you threaten to feed him to your beautiful dragon." Cal paused. "Why not thrash him insted, hes a child, and children respond to that kind of thing." Calaethis smiled grimly. "Well child, tell her your name, and I suggest you speak quickly, as you can see, shes in no mood to be patronised. If you want to postpone your death, or thrashing, depending on how merciful my cousin is feeling, I suggest you answer."

Calaethis smiled grimly, "Aw, don't be *too* hard on him Dameon, he *is* just a child after all. I'd say 50 to 100 lashes ought to be enough? Don't you think?" Calaethis winked at Dameon to show he wasn't serious. He turned around and called to Skye, "What do you think? Should we thrash the child, or let Alliene's dragon eat him? He doesn't seem to be answering just yet though..."

Skye shrugged. "Personally, growing up as a street urchin myself, I never really liked thrashings." She walked over and looked at the elf they had caught. "He seems to be a bit stunned at the moment... why don't we find out what he was doing, before you feed him to the dragon or thrash him? If there's some info that would be useful to us, he could possibly have, it's better to have him give it to us willingly then beat him."

Cal winked at her and walked over and said in a hushed tone that the street urchine couldn't hear; "I wasn't serious about thrashing him; well, not *too* serious, it was partly to suggest another alternitive to Alliene, she seems.. cranky." He smiled and said "see if you can get him to talk?"

*edit, opps forgot to kill sig. Btw, I'm making an active attempt to include you Skye.

Khalraan pulled himself up, and looked to the group, then, with tears in his eyes, and his voice faltering 'my name is Kha..Khalraan, your highness' he spoke the one they had called Alliene, 'please don't thrash me, i was just watching you, i didnt mean any harm'

"looking or spying i don't see much of a difference. We don't thrash spies we slowly torture them until we are certian of who they work for and what they wanted to find out. Also what a better way to catch us off guard by sending someone who we shouldn't expect to harm us and if we caught him it wouldn't bother them on bit becuase he is just an urchin, a nothing, just something that isn't good enought to whip clean the bottom of my boots."

Calaethis laughed at the young elf "Do you really expect her to buy that? You'll be lucky if she simply thrashes you," he glanced at his cousin, "forgive me cousin, you were saying?" he winked at Dameon "Of course we torture them, but we *could* start out by thrashing this one, he is only a child after all, and once you've flogged him soundly, he might be willing to talk, especially after hes seen that your not afraid to apply psychial pain to him." Calaethis' grin was wolfish.

Cal shot Dameon a quick grin and contined talking. "No, if you ask me, hes probably a theif. I'd suggest searching him, but.. who'd want to search though those rags. Bah, he needs a bath.. pity there isn't a lake nearby." He winked at Dameon and continued "No, he probably saw something of value on us, and immediatly decided to rob us, or try to, notice how he called Alliene 'your highness'. Obviously he reginises her as a noble, or it could just be ignorence on his part." He walked closer, about 1/4 of a ft away, to the urchin, non threateningly, "I suggest you drop that dagger of yours boy," He said, looking at the child's belt. Then he glanced over his shoulder at Alliene, who didn't look that amused. "Would you like to take it from here cousin?"
