Captive-chapter 3- Dark confessions...

[Calaethis Dragonsbane]

"But cousin dearest," Calaethis replied with wide innocent eyes, obviously false innocence, which meant he was about to say something outrageous "Your been doing such a great job of being leader, I wouldn't want to challenge you. I couldn't possibly deprive the party of such brilliant leadership" He smiles slightly, and with an impish grin continues. "Besides, even if I did challenge you, which I'm not going to, you might decide that its the perfect opportunity to.." he leaned closer to her, until he was close for there cheeks to be touching, "teach me an 'object lesson' and give me that switching that’s been in your eye all evening." Calaethis whispered with uncharacteristic impulsiveness. "I love you cousin, goodnight." Then kissed her cheek quickly, his face hidden by her hair, no one else saw the exchange. He disappeared off to his room after that, pausing to let Alliene speak to him if she wished.

Calaethis turned around, having forgotten his water, grinning roguishly; he sipped it, and made a face at Alliene. "Water cousin? Why, this is a tavern, I'm shocked that you could even think of serving water here! Shocked, quite shocked." He grinned impishly again. Calaethis was being surprisingly open, quite unlike his usual demeanour. He seemed to have relaxed around his 'friends', the other party members, and dropped his guard slightly. He turned and wished the others "goodnight" as well. He grinned again, and asked Alliene innocently "Do you wish for your dragon to accompany me? If only to keep me out of trouble?"

***OOC I was bored of all these 2 or 3 liner posts [img]tongue.gif[/img] so I wrote a meduim sizedish one [img]tongue.gif[/img] edit still bored. gonna write some more [img]tongue.gif[/img] btw, i resisted the urge to say "You must gather your party before venturing forth..."***

[DameonRules]

Dameon looks at skye "Iam Dameon Kaluish from the clan Kaluish. Son of the chief soon to be representiative in the great tournement." Dameon says with pride then kinda solem and to himself "if i ever get back home that is." To skye "Blademaster Brawler brewer and blacksmith at your service. Iam not from this planet at all so if i say something in ignorace just tell me and i won't try to do it again. ANOTHER ROUND BARKEEP!" Dameon exlaims loudley so that everyone in the tavern look at him.

A cloaked figure walks toward there table "3 miles south of the city there is a clearing. if Natha isn't there tomarrow 3 hours after sunset we will hunt you down and kill you, after we have had our fun our course halfling. we will also punish you Natha for your tartyness. you know what we will do to you don't even try to think you can beat us becuase you have some self proclaimed blade master." points to dameon "A bard" skye "and an adolesent elf who does even know the right way to hold a sword and doesn't know the dance but thinks he does." Cal "You don't stand a chance oh and i forgot a halfling who dabbles in magic, that would be you." points to alliene. with that he turns and walks out to the tavern.
OOC-LB doesn't have Dameon I have her when shes lucky

Alliene watched the drow with a glint and her eye and resisted the urge to yawn in his face,

"Dawdle in magic indeed. The fools will be sorry when they have 5 demons chasing them around, not including myself," she giggled, then stood up and stretched, "Well, better get some rest while we can," she took Calaethis's arm, "Come cousin dearest, I will join you in your rest; only 2 and half hours mind you..." her voice faded as she walked him out the door, familiars following.

[Calaethis Dragonsbane]

Calaethis muttered darkly to his cousin as they departed.. "Those arrogent bastards, why do you stand for it cousin?" Theres a dark glint in his eyes as he speaks softly, "Cousin, I don't suppose you could find me a longsword someplace? 'thinks he knows the dance but doesn't' bah." Calaethis swears under his breath, breathing vile oaths at the drow. "Alliene," he asked her seriously, "If there is a fight, tell me, would I be in your way?" he looked into her eyes, with genuine concern showing, "I wouldn't want to hinder you... but I can wield a blade... as well as any of these humans here..." he shrugged "I know that I'm not as skilled as you...yet, or perhaps these other drow.. but..." he eyes took on a savage light... "I would like to see them repeat those things with my blade in their gut, after I've pierced them though their lung..." Calaethis sighed and shook his head. By now they had reached their room. Calaethis looked around and slightly embarressed offer his cousin the bed, while he'd sleep on the floor. Then he embraced her and wished her a goodnight - what was left of it anyway. He waited for her to speak.

***OOC, Dameon, do you have to be quite so insulting about Cal's swordsmanship each time? heh, in bg terms he'd have ++ proficency in longswords, which isnt bad considering hes a ranger... so, if you could tone it down, just a little please? [img]tongue.gif[/img] lol, I don't mind your "drow" saying that tho... still... ***

[Kaltia]

Kaltia stretched her limbs and tossed the bone that remained of the strange cattle-like rabbit..thing that was all that remained of her meal. Darlian had taken three of the things in one bite and was calmly licking his lips. He bared his teeth at the half-ogre which wasn't quick enough to run.
"Three rothe and a half-ogre. Mmmmm hmmm." Darlian cleaned the blood off his face with a paw in much the same way a cat would, except bigger.
"bah...where were we? Oh yes...when the drow arrive, i kill, you unlock?"
"You HONESTLY think they'd even give us the chance?" Kaltia asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Nope. But when you weigh nearly a thousand tonnes you kinda get what you want. You were saying something about that Alliene? And more importantly, the black...black...monster she keeps as a familiar?" Dar's tail lashed and twitched as he stood slowly, narrowing silver orbs. The hatred silvers carried for their chromatic cousins was reknowned.
OOC-I'll type more later...CBA. *kisses Cal*

Alliene winked at Calaethis,

"Stop being a prude and come help me keep warm, honestly," she pulled off the drow chain and laid it carefuly next to the bed, before she flopped down with her arms behind her head, smiling as Zachana curled into a ball on her stomach, "I will let you fight with us Calaethis. I would even let you use one of my swords if those enchantments weren't on them. Or my spear if you knew how to use one," she shrugged, "Anyway, some of my spells need to be rememerized and the like, come on and sleep with me," she patted the spot next to her.

Calaethis smiled at his cousin's suggestion, and grinning replied "As you command, dear cousin, after all, you are the party leader, abet self appointed". He gave her his most impish, cheekiest grin and made a face at her. He laughed and said, "you're not going to roll your eyes? Aww, but cousin, I went out of my way to give you that excuse." He flashed her another grin "I bet you feel like switching me don't you?" Then stripped down to his undertunic, and dumped his clothes on the floor, leaving them in a heap; climbed into bed next to his cousin, and rested his head on her. Looking up, Calaethis whispered "Well, you are my cousin, and well..." he blushed slightly, feeling self-conscious. And snuggled up against her, pleadingly looking at her, his eyes asking for her to hold him, and wrap her arm around him. He smiled and looked up at her, his eyes filled with love; ***OOC this post is making me sick*** the love for an elder sister. He muttered something about preferring swords over spears, and closed his eyes, wondering if Alliene would stroke his hair, the way she'd done in the past, when he was still a young child. He opened his eyes again, and whispered, "May we talk for a short while? Please?"

Calaethis was careful not to lean on Ali's dragon, so his head was further up, leaning on her bosom. His hand found hers and held it gently, his grip tightening slightly. Calaethis wasn't one to usually show such a display of emotion, but his nerves had been stretched these last few weeks, and as a result he was far more open with his cousin then he usually would have been. He whispered again "Alliene, I haven't been... too much of a disappointment to you have I?" he asked his voice creaking slightly. He waited for her reply, with a yawn. "Sorry, cousin, I'm really quite tired.." he spoke though another yawn. Then he looked over to where he'd dumped his clothes. "Opps. Your not going to make my pick them up are you, mother?" he impishly replied, fully expecting her to swat his backside for his cheek. He laughed slightly and said, "Aren’t you going to swat my bottom Ali? And roll your eyes at me? No? I'm crushed,” he said grinning again and yawning. He snuggled up against her again. "I love you Ali. 'night." He closed his eyes, still listening for his cousin's reply.

***OOC, Kat before you get jealous, I'm writing my char reactions [img]tongue.gif[/img] hehe. After all, they *are* cousins [img]tongue.gif[/img] *grins, wondering how many ppl this will piss off* edit, am bored, gonna write more. For the record, if anyone says "aww" I don’t care [img]tongue.gif[/img] taking boredom to its limits, I shall add more for the 5th time [img]tongue.gif[/img] ***

She humored her cousin enough to roll her eyes at his silliness, but she obliged and used her free hand to run her fingers through his hair gently. Unfortunate that he was her cousin, but it wasn't a problem, now,

"I know there has been a great deal of...stressful things happening lately," she tried not to think of the way she had murdered that human in the forest. She closed her eyes and sighed frettfuly through her nose, "Do not worry about these drow. I will let them take me before you," she hoped that wouldn't upset him too much, "With Shev, and Zachana in her full form with all those natural enchantments, we should be victorious. If not, then I will give my life to Shar," she sighed again and squeezed his hand.

***OCC Lb, your *not* trying to hit on your "dear wittle cousin" are you? *wide innocent shocked eyes* "Unfortunate that he was her cousin, but it wasn't a problem, now," erm, LB, I don’t think my char would have *dared* to get into bed with your char, if he wasn't her cousin. Or relative or something hehehe. besides *grin* they're meant to be "very distantly related" ***

Calaethis looked at his cousin, and whispered "Thank you cousin, but... your life is worth more then mine; after all, your a drow Matron's daughter, and a sea elf princess." He sighed slightly. "Those bastards won't take you... my life is yours, cousin, I'd swear fealty, but that’s a little silly, considering that you are my cousin, and I'd never do anything to betray you." His eyes took on a evil glint, and a savage light burned within; "And even if they did slay you, they would overlook me, and that would be their gravest error.. I'd hunt them down one by one and slay them, as slowly and as painfully as any drow." His eyes seemed alight with a burning fire, a barely concealed rage which shocked his cousin. "And after I'd hunted them down, I'd hunt down the rest of their kin." Suddenly he stopped, "if anything does happen to you cousin, neither one of your parents would stand for it..." then he blushed and looked into her eyes deeply. "Please don't forbid me on going on a revenge run... I'd hate to have to disobey your last wishes." He sighed and whispered "I don't want to talk about this; nothing's going to happen to you, or to me. Can we get some rest now?" Calaethis smiled slightly and kissed his cousin's cheek, "Well, aren’t you going to kiss me and tell me how much you love me, cousin mine?" he asked her impishly. Suddenly he grinned "Your growing lack, cousin, you haven't told me off for dumping my clothes in a heap" he told her reproaching, chiding her gently. He laughed softly, "If I tease you, its because I love you cousin, not because.." he broke off. Calaethis saw his cousin as equivalent to an elder sister, and never even considered 'lusting' after her. He had a childlike innocence when he was alone with her, and seemed slightly naive at times. Snuggling up to her again, he closed his eyes, and waited for his cousin's reply. Gently, he stroked the little black dragons head with a forefinger, "Shes a beautiful creature, isn't she?"

***OOC, all these gushy posts, ick (hey, I *am* an adolescent, ) aww, touched your heart LB? hehehe, ah well still, perfect scene just about LOL, your WEREN’T trying to hit on Cal were you? *ponders* he’s too young anyway edit, a couple of typos. Oh yeah, LB, lol, you could say something along the lines of "hush, Cal, go to sleep now" or something, then continue with the storyline. Just a suggestion.***

IC- Skye stretched, still seated at the table, as the tavern started to quiet down. "So much excitement," she commented wryly to herself, swishing her drink back and forth. Good thing all she touched was Elven, or else she'd be out by now. She yawned, then walked to her lodgings. Her ear pricked up slightly as she passed the room that contained Alliene and Cal, and she smiled a little to herself. 'So nice to have relatives... almost makes me wish I had some,' she thought, then covered another yawn. 'Time to hit the hay, it seems.'
