How do you cast find familier i can't get it to work because it says "only a protagonist may cast find familier"- what does this mean?

Only your main character (the party leader is the protagonist) can cast this spell.

it means only the main charecter (if your mage or bard or multi mage) can cast the spell an get a familier.
