I agree with Scatter on Vit. It is better than piety. Piety does help but vitality is better for stamina, etc.

I like the Ranger and gadg. I found the gadg to be more usefull later in the game and the omnigun is a great backup to the gadgets at high levels. The rangers strength lies in his bow skills. I would concentrate on that. With a strong bow and mystic arrows you can do some serious damage. A lot of intant kills. Gadgeteers are just more fun to me. Stamina is a big issue with two characters. I think the beginning would be easier with a bard however.
