Hi there!
I've got a solo faerie bishop, who has one level of ninja for stealth training. I got the CC, but I just want to keep her as a bishop, she rocks!!! Now, I'm thinking about one more level of a nina to train her critical strike skill. Reason is, I'm using the Staff of doom and I found the assassins cap, and I have quite a bit of crits. I want more But, now, how can I train critical strike? I wouldn't want to spend more than one level on this, so I need some kind of... method, or so. I don't want to do that train-only-thing, like you can cast knock-knock on some locks over and over again, but you can do training without this sort of thing, right? So, is there something you can do to make your critical strike skill raise faster? Thanks for any help Cheers Philipp

I think you need to hit often. So use a bad weapon.

Better even, use two bad weapons in both hands, you'll beef up dual at the same time
![]() Oh, and the cloak of perception is obligatory ofc. Flynns cap would be possible with a lvl of rogue instead of ninja. |

double strike daggers dual wield
can be purchased a Crocks can also be made with engineering skill of 35 for a gadgeteer (could hire on the trynnie for this) I think we determined here that every 10 points in this skill equated to a 1% increase in criticals, so if you got to 125 points as a Ninja and then classed-back to a Bishop then you have 100 points in critical which equates to 5% increase in criticals. For anything but a solo the 5% is worthless compared to the training time and the class expenditure. For a solo however criticals are probably the most important attack meathod in the game. As I think your finding out, offensive magic is NOT terribly effective as a solo character (i.e. your relying on criticals for attacks). Magic is far more important defensivly (and quasi-offensivly). If I were you I'd instead train the bishop magically untill at LEAST having full power for Magic Screen and Guardian Angel. And I'd seriously consider full power for as much as freez all - as a bishop (the ninja alchemist book doesn't have the 5th level spell). Then class change to the Ninja for the remander of the game using the COC - which still allows for Alch. spell progression. training can be done by simply sleeping in a protected area and then walking out and "greeting opponents", but my prefferd meathod is "heavying" Lorrac at the Bank (see the Beg. Ref.). |

From what I've heard it either crashes when you make it or crashes when you try to use it. I've never experienced this firsthand though so I don't know how accurate that is, but be careful all the same.

and it's 1% per 25 Skill points, not 10. (else you'd have a 12-and-a-half% chance)

oooooooppppps...
actually that would be 20 points.. i.e. 5*20 = 100 Topped-out ninja's as ninja's get the skill point bonus of a max 125 points = a 6.25% chance of a critical. |

no, it's one when you get the skill and then another one each 25.
