I took took a new party with a Lord, Samurai, Valkerie and Ranger, since Ferro was toast. I don't think they're getting their spells when they should. My Lord is now Lvl 9 and he still only has Lvl 1 spells. Is there some attribute that's too low or something? And where can I find what the requirements for the different spell levels are?

Farseer,
Here's a site with a lot of good magic info: http://wiz8.web1000.com/ The skill you are lacking is Divinity. It must be 15 for Level 2 spells, 30, for level 3, 45 for 4, etc. There are level requirements, too. What about traps? You must be having a bit of a tough time with locked doors and chests. |

No, no trouble there I also have a bard ans a rogue. I just didn't mention them since they were not part of the problem. Thanks for those links and info. I'll check them out right now. When and how is the best way to increase Divinity and the other Realms for magic while still keeping fighter issues in check. I took an all Dracon party; maybe that's hindering me a little due to limited starting points? [ 06-24-2003, 11:51 AM: Message edited by: Variol (Farseer) Elmwood ]

1) Points at level-up 2) Practice Unfortunately, the Priest/Divinity list is pretty short on spells that can be cast out of combat, so the most practical way to raise your Lord's Divinity is to fight a lot, and have him/her cast Bless/GA/Magic Screen/Soul Shield often (but save enough SP for healing). Air and Water are similarly short on practice spells. For the Priest-book caster the Earth, Fire, and Mental realms have spells (Armorplate, Light, and Charm/ID Item) that can be used out of combat to raise the skill. |

Divine Trap and Heal Wounds are two good spells to raise Divinity/Divine/Mental out of combat fairly quick.

Once I got the Charm spell my mental and Devine abilities went, well mental. I was trying to charm shop folk and the numbers just increased like crazy.
