2 Questions:

1.) Do i find some good items in the retro-levels?

2.) Does only "XXX" (the Weapon-guy in Arnika) create special Weapons/Armor?
I didn´t find some items for the "Beastslayer" - where can i find them?
The picus egg should be around Trynton (kick some picus-asses i assume)

Thanx for reply!

1. for me, no. I never get any good stuff there. except for a headache trying to find a way out.

2. Antone ( arnika ) , ferro ( rapax castle ). these two can make custom item.
the beastslayer items are =
Piercer Modai Claw - off various Piercer Modai
Wide Cleaver Blade - your basic Cleaver weapon ( can be found in monastery )
Giant Picus Egg - off various Giant Picus

I know, I always sell that weapon to Burz before I know what it is use for. needless to say I have to go back all the way to monastery again to buy it.

It depends on when you do them.
If you do them early, there'll be some items you'll use for a while.

And there's a really nice amulet (Nebdar IIRC) which can only be found in a retro-dungeon.

In addition, there's some unique monsters down there. I laughted when i first saw the 'cube'.

I usually find some in the wilderness clearning.

Yes, and I just finished the Mtn. Retro with my 4 person, level 18/19 party, and got around 1.5 million exp. for it-- very worthwhile!

You and me both! And it's DARK in there. No siree, the girls didn't like it in there at all.

I didn't find anything that would make it worth the cost of stumbling around in the dark (and it's dark even with an active Light spell) looking for a way out either.

The automap doesn't work right in the retro dungeonss, either (too dark to read? ).

I liked the mountain one, and didn't do the northern wilderness one. In the mountain one, it's not so dark as in the graveyard, and there's a LOT of xp to be had in there, as well as a few decent items like that amulet, and a kind of nifty sword that you won't use *grin*

emmm...retro levels are dungeon that is hard to get into, you need a few things to get in like touch a few tombstone, and then stab a dagger on a wall. then run into some mushroom and be warp into a retro levels.

ps, in retro level, your map is useless.
